  1. Brilliant result Must be followed up against bottom of the league sat And we all know what our record against relegation threatened teams has been like this year! MUST WIN
  2. If the initial price is lower and we end up selling thousands of more season tickets yet taking Slightly less money or breaking even on the current 2400 sales, it's a good thing because the key to any business is footfall the more people in the ground = more money being spent by them people. Which could lead to us having to increase orders for things like pies again this would give us more negotiation with the supplier because we would be shifting a lot more. I will put my neck on the line and say if we got 7000 sales an had a similar season to this every single home game would be a bigger attendence than this season. I wonder if Simon will give me one for free for starting this thread lol (a season ticket that is)
  3. We sold 6000 tickets away to Liverpool at £20 odd quid a pop, factor in travel costs and refreshments throught that day and you can say a lot if them 6000 would of spent around 100 quid on one game! Firmly believe we could sell season tickets to 7000 fans
  4. I understand your point but I think a problem is fundermentally cost if more people have a season ticket more will turn up (to games they wouldn't normally) because it's already paid for rather than have to spend £22 on a Tuesday night to watch oldham v Crawley or something like that. Half the reason I don't go to as many as I could is cost and not having £22 quid spare every week and that's whiteout a pint or a pie. The misses would be getting a season ticket to at that price I could imagine that quite a few of us would buy more than 1
  5. 100 quid season ticket and if we sell 7000 all good 6000 and it's a pound entry every game with your season ticket (£6000 extra per game) (£138,000 a season) 5000 and it's £2 (2 x 5000 = £10000 per game extra) (£230,000 per season) 4000 and it's £3 a game (3 x 4000 = £12,000per game) (£276,000 per season) ** based on all season ticket holder going every game.
  6. I think it's defiantly a possibility To sell 7000 without question. If it's done the right way, maybe the council could help out advertising in all council buildings or building a package along with things like gym memberships.
  7. I think the major problem now is people having£350 up front to do any cash back scheme Maybe if they charged a initial 100 quid and it was for 10 games then every time sales rise by 1000 you get x amount of games added to your season tick until we have sold enough to fill the season
  8. Corney say if we could do 7000 he would sell for £100, but fears we would only sell 4000 and currently have around 2400 season ticket holders. As someone who doesn't go to as many home games as I should id have one if those and feel many others also would. I understand Simons concerns but is there a way we could make this work or to test the water?
  9. If option b was to include a Steve cotterill type manager then option b all day everyday.
  10. I include myself in this but I think a lot of fans reaction over today and the past few days can be laid on lee Johnson. I feel when he said he wanted to make this a place for the unloved we as fans bought into this and maybe things like fans meetings with the manager bingo nights etc we as fans felt loved after a few years of utter crap pr (not that our pr has improved to much I.e Barry) and fan club interaction, fair play to lj he changed that. I wasn't there today due to work but reports I've heard say we were shocking am nots surprised by this after last two results and this weeks events. I've said things in haist this week but ultimately it's because I want the club to be successful just like the rest if you. Regardless if we can make play offs or not I will continue to attened as many games as possible and continue to support oldham athletic as frustrating as it can be. We do new a new manager sooner rather than later and the new man will get my support. I have my issues with the owners but hey we can't agree on everything. A result at vale on Tuesday and we're looking up the table again.
  11. We had a oppertunity for crowds to increase after the Colchester game with the £5 offer look what happened there oppertunity squandered
  12. Never said I wanted to know everything.Just the important stuff yano like when your ambitious manager on a long term deal jumps ship to a club in the same league and below us. So I think it's fair for the club to explain how it happened.
  13. The most frustrating thing is the silence from the club regarding the why it happened and who instigated it. Us oldham fans left in the dark again!! Simon corney, without fans football is nothing and you my friend are doing a remarkable job of killing our fan base. I've only ever seen us in div2/league1 and am getting :censored:ed off with being happy with just staying in the league I can only imagine the frustration amongst those who have seen the glory days watching you kill us ever so slowly
  14. How has he over achieved ? He has in my opinion achieved exactly what us fans expect and our club should be achieving mid table push for play offs Or are you saying anything other than a season of struggle is over achieving ?
