  1. Wouldn't ordinarily advocate playing three at the back, but it does seem like the best way to get the best players on the pitch. And it eliminates the need for full-backs which, given ours, is a positive. Coleman O'Connell Wilson Burn Yeates Winchester Jones Mills Dunn Stan Murphy Heck, let's go for it.
  2. Not even convinced of that; Croft was pretty poor too.
  3. He wasn't "awful", he put in two 6/10 performances. Form is temporary and all that.
  4. Then we have reason to be deeply concerned...
  5. Thought we probably just edged it, but can't complain with a draw. We should've scored more, but they could've had a couple of pens too. Dieng, Wilson, Croft played well. Dunn showed moments of class. Forte better. Jones needs to play centrally, and Brown - despite lots of positive work - doesn't half give me the jitters.
  6. Much as I applaud the attacking intent, I think we'd concede at least 5 with that line-up!
  7. Fulham have signed Tim Ream from Bolton today; might signal the end of any Tarky deal?
  8. Coleman Brown Wilson Burn Mills Croft Winchester Kelly (if fit) Jones Forte Philliskirk (Keep it on the ground, please!)
  9. Couple of (dodgy) kicks aside, Coleman was fantastic today.
  10. Coleman Wilson Wilson Burn Mills Kelly Croft Winchester Jones Poleon Cassidy (Rest Forte's legs for Saturday)
  11. Think Wilson's a perfectly capable League One full-back, but he was definitely a weak-link today.
  12. Coleman B.Wilson J.Wilson Carpet Mills Kelly Croft Winchester Jones Forte Cassidy (nick a point)
  13. You could argue we'd have gone down both seasons without them.
  14. What if we'd had that approach to Kuqi, Baxter etc. though? I'd rather wait and bring in the best possible person for the job.
  15. Effective on his day. Just a shame staying fit isn't his Forte.
  16. Zero tickets refunded during the period of Corney's offer to meet people. https://twitter.com/DawnMarsdenOC/status/595922700469727232
  17. Couple of wingers, a striker with a bit of physical presence, a centre-half and a 'keeper to provide competition for Coleman would do for me. ...assuming we don't lose anyone.
  18. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32347094 "been approached by third parties for next season". Putting two and two together, and getting seven and a half, he's 100% our next manager.

  20. Mark Yates seems like a perfectly sensible option to me.
  21. ...so did Garth Crooks and Robbie Savage.
