Maybe? It's actually quite difficult having a (...relative) wealth of talent in central midfield, no wingers and ineffective strikers...
I see!
I had visions of JCH's response to a potentially lucrative move to the Championship being "Ah yes, but more importantly, are they not temporarily based away from their home town? It's a no from me."
Can't imagine that going down too well with Simon, somehow.
"Hey, Simon. Can I have some money now to buy a player who can't play until next season and who'll be available on a free in June anyway, please?"
There's not really any precedent to back it up, because it's not a situation we've been in. But surely the fact that the bookies have us down as favourites provides a reasonably "compelling argument" that it's not completely ridiculous to suppose that we might win tomorrow? Or do they not use "logic" to determine their odds these days?
(I'm not saying that I think we will win, I'm just saying that's it's not inconceivable that we might...)
Other than the fact that we're coming off the back of a last minute equaliser away at promotion contenders Coventry, and are playing at home against a bottom-half team who've had to play 2 games in 3 days?
So let me get this straight. Dunn - who at last count had signed eight of the current squad since being appointed as manager - would only sign two of the current squad? Doesn't say much for his own acumen in the transfer market, does it?
Especially given that one of those two must surely be Kelly, who was already here...
