  1. The lad will be playing for buttons. No other reason our tinpot club have signed him
  2. If it is not what the club want, let him go. Simple
  3. New manager, new players will not be enough. The club has become a joke and that is down to one man - Corney. We all make mistakes, but everything he does is destroying the club and the little fans we have left. Stott & Moore, without being far from perfect, never achieved anything as damaging as Corney has to our club. At least Moore nearly killed us trying
  4. Death by a thousand cuts. At least the previous owner nearly killed us by trying rather than this. The end result is the same
  5. PD should have gone at the start of the year - he didn't I believe because Corney was reluctant to fork out the money to get rid and hoped he would struggle along and get enough points to keep us up. TP should not have been forced to manage the team for the length of time he did (but he did as one of only a couple at BP that care about the club) - he was though because Corney hoped he would struggle along and get enough points to keep us up and would save on a managers wage. LJ thankfully, for Corney, threw his hat in the ring - he got the job I believe because he was the cheap option and not what was required with 10 games to go and the team in deep deep trouble. I have nothing against LJ at all I don't want to defend the current crop of so called players, but maybe the inept penny pinching running of this club is being reflected in the inept performance of the players
  6. if they tick all these boxes there will be better clubs than us after signing them
  7. My dad sharing his cans of Boddingtons with me on Wembley Way - I was 12!!!!!
  8. it is not to get him in the games this season. This is to be able to tell my boy that he had his first season ticket when he was born.
  9. How long would it take to process? My own ticket for Everton is sorted by the way. My mate got one for his baby girl when she was born and as he is now the fourth generation of regular Latics supporters in my family, I don't think it is a massive ask. Especially as he will go even when this "busiest period for 10 years" is long forgotten
  10. My first son was was born Monday night, so first job was to send Grandad for his first season ticket yesterday. I was shocked (but the more I think about it it's typical Latics) to find out the ticket office were too busy and that we should try again in a couple of weeks. Surely this goes against evertything SC is trying to achieve. If only we had two other clubs on our doorstep?!!
  11. Which ever way it goes it will be a sad outcome, but OAFC are why we are on here
  12. I expected the uncertainty over this. I must admit it does not make sense to me either, SC could have done it after Tuesday. TP or a n other could have took the reigns for Sunday with the hope of the new manager effect hopefully helping
  13. This is my first post, so I expect doubters. I have heard from a good source that SC is going to sack PD on Monday morning. I have met PD and always found him to be a good man. I really would have liked him to do well, but he hasn't. If he does get sacked the players are as much to blame
