To be fair to the OP I noticed the pitch was not in the best of conditions moments before kick-off and was going to comment on it myself. Considering we have just had a bit of a break I was surprised but I can only base my thoughts on what I saw on Ifollow and have no idea how good or bad the weather has been in Oldham.
I think it went to Byrne officially
But mention has to go to my MOM Clarke who after a poor start to the season controlled Byran, Hunt, and Dummy in a fantastic defensive display
Fane plays better with more game time, previously when he has a 10-minute cameo he reminds me of a headless chook. Games like today shows me there is a player, a fast and very fit one, that is worth persevering with.
The Mighty Quinn
34 goals in 80 games for us and was sent packing, oh how good we had it in those days that we could just dump a player like that because he upset the manager. He then went on to score 113 goals in 231 games for Newcastle and Portsmouth most of them in the top division. He would be worth more than the whole football club and ground these days.
Kenny Clements - Over 200 games for us before Man City bought him back. Though we always struggled for money in the old division 2 days Frizzell would never sell him because he knew how important he was.
If Shez had been let go just a few days ago I would be shouting a big yes to Scholes as a manager and somebody like Wellens as his assistant, but the last 3 games have put a twist into the mix.
Maybe the Blackburn game is going to be the RW final interview - we win he gets the job, loses and hello Paul Scholes.
