Had to stop myself from posting for this long because I was so pissed off after an argument with a steward and the penalty. The 6 run penalty was a joke and ruined what would have been a great match. But it was partly down to Yorkshire's (mainly Finch's) good batting meaning we could only bowl 4 overs of spin rather than the usual 8 therefore we had to bowl the quicks more thus taking more time. Also it's was bad captaincy on Hortons part in not rushing the bowlers back to their mark and still taking an age between balls when we were up against it time wise from around the 12th. But the bad part is that is was partly down to Yorkshire's batsman having a committee meeting between every ball meaning when the bowler was ready to bowl they were having to wait 10-15 seconds whilst the batter was ready which adds up to around a minute an over. But it was a good night and a cracking whack from both Smith and Finch.

I wouldn't bowl Clark in the death but I don't know who I would bowl. With Davies at the top of the order it gives someone that will whack it so we don't have to wait until Croft comes in with Buttler. On the Smith note - I heard through the grapevine in the pavilion that Smith isn't allowed to bowl in T20 along with Chapell and Hogg not allowed to play because the County Championship is the main priority.

Tbh imo i'd play both Butter and Davies bringing Buttler in for Aga do. To me Kabir bowling at the death is a liability and will eventually cost us a game. The yorkies will provide the biggest test that we will face this season (until we get to the QF) so we need our strongest/most inform team and to me Kabir isn't in that. If you don't want to play Fred you play someone from the 2ndXI who has been inform.

I'm not liking this. There's positivity on OWTB. Where has the usual cynicism and pessimism gone?

That tram platform can be very busy after the game and will be packed after the Yorkies so I can see lots of people struggling to get on the tram.

Kabir for me I place of Fred. His figures from Friday were sugar coated with the two wickets on the boundary of no 10 & 11 batsman after the game had gone. Plus IIRC he hasn't got into double figures when batting but he's suppost to be an all-rounder. On the Davies vs Buttler - Davies is a decent keeper who just wants to be a batsman whereas Buttler is an average keeper who wants to be a keeper. IMO I'd play both of them give them 10 overs each behind. My team would be: Smith, Davies, Brown, Croft, Horton, Flintoff, Buttler, Clark, Lilley, Parry, Junaid.
