  1. Ps. Just a mention about they fans - awesome today. Athleticos doing fantastic job singing non-stop. But we all got behind the team and we were NOISY!
  2. Good report O4U - first time in a while we didn't boss the midfield because Maddison is a very good player and was their main threat. We had chances and I agree with others I thought we could have pressed more after our opener and then after the equaliser. But they hit the post twice and had crosses go missing yet we looked dangerous on the break in second half. I thought Poleon was a good sub as it changed our play for the better. Second half after 70 mins some players looked a bit leggy probably because the pitch was so wet. All in all we deserved the point against a good side. But how did the ref miss those bear hugs from their centre half on Wilkinson?
  3. Great win and really solid team performance. Nice goal from Deyts. But what has happened to Harkins?
  4. Signed. Shouldn't we have a designated Saturday every year to remember this terrible tragedy?
  5. Just got back from game and gutted and frustrated to say the least. With a few mins to go everyone shouting make a sub. JCH on his arse, Worrall out of game in last 20. Get fresh legs on, hold the ball up better and maybe create something plus waste as much time as poss. So they score and then he brings Charlie on. Wot a Charlie!!!!
  6. Walking out of the ground last night, I was thinking who could I offload my Crewe ticket to? But 24 hours on, I'm looking forward to the match. If we show unwavering loud support, I hope it raises the team spirit and spurs them on to a much better performance. We know Crewe are beatable and if we manage to score first, then you never know???
  7. I agree wholeheartedly - we can argue this for ever more but the only way to make an informed decision is to give it a try and stick all Latics fans in RRE and for the hierarchy at the club to work out if the atmosphere is any better or worse. I have a feeling that a large number of Chaddy Enders (I am one) who will intend or consider moving into the new North Stand due to vastly improved facilities.
  8. Happy with this signing - not only for scoring goals but to link up play, hold the ball and allow other players to join the attack. If he is on the same wavelength as Harkins and Worrall, this could be a very astute and exciting addition to the squad. Or am I getting a bit too giddy???
  9. u Agree - Dayton doesn't get passed his man and therefore doesn't produce any decent service. His corners are getting worse so why not let Harkins take them. If Worrall is fit give Dayton a rest but he seems to be one of LJ's faves. Wolves are a very solid side defensively and set up to counter-attack at speed. They played well and their confidence grew in second half. Latics only had a handful of decent chances second half and without the intensity of our comeback on Saturday, I'm afraid we were second best to Wolves on the night. LJ commented tonight that there may be 1 or 2 in and 1 or 2 out by Friday. Like many have highlighted, a new striker is a must just to give us a lift and provide a different option up front. However not sure Lee Gregory on trial from Halifax will be the answer. If Tarky goes (as seems a distinct possibility with several clubs interested) defensive cover is also needed.
  10. I thought it was a pen on JCH - it looked as though he had 2 defenders sandwich him - maybe one of them stuck a leg out. I agree that he tends to go down far too easily. Still a lot for LJ to work on with him.
  11. Harkins was brilliant in second half - let's hope he can do it all over again on Tuesday
  12. No you are wrong and just contradicted yourself-yes it was bad first half but aren't we supposed to "keep the faith"? It just gets on my nerves those who come on here and moan without being constructive.
  13. TO ALL THOSE "supporters" WHO LEFT AT HALF TIME - DONT EVER COME BACK COZ WE WANT PEOPLE WHO ENCOURAGE THE PLAYERS AND THE MANAGER (even when things are going wrong). NOT PILLOCKS WHO TURN THEIR BACK AND HEAD FOR THE EXIT.
  14. Well said - that game was like turning the clock back 25 years. Let's hope that result kick starts the revival -onwards and upwards!!!
