  1. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE!! And on a good 2-3 year deal!! Agree with the earlier comment, defence is now sorted if Brown signs.
  2. Few questions about the ground: 1)when was the rocky road end built? 2) where the hell did the mainstand boxes go? 3) what happened to the fences and dugout? Way before my time as fan but a cracking watch
  3. I agree with JCH and Turner over preseason. Two young heads who can both learn together, with Danny Philliskirk and maybe a new older head (charlie mac type) player to aid and advice but also score when needed.
  4. I dont see how a supporters bar wouldnt generate revenue? Alcohol, pub like snacks, skysports on the telli, a good pre-match build up and thats on match day Non match day: general bar locals could go in? International games on the screen? Id be very very suprised if theres no supporters bar.
  5. How on earth will the supporters bar be turned into a box? Its ground floor behind the concourse area of the right hand pitch facing side. Unless its turned into an executive suite or something
  6. Has any agreements been made over the commercial side of the new stand? Excitement is in the air (especially in my eyes) and i realise some of you are in the know/ have sources. Ground floor: - will the supporters bar be ran by any external company? - On both concourse areas, any certain agreements with external catering firms? - any agreements on who will take rental of the three retail units (345m2, 185m2, 155m2) - any one assigned to run the 132m2 cafe unit, again internal or external companies. first floor: - function room, kitchen, bar along with hospitality service to exec boxes and directors - external or internal based service? Second floor: -anyone to take over both the office spaces? Club/external? - anyone who is going to run the gym and will this be used by the players and staff? --what profits are the club expecting? -- expectations from the hospitality area? -- expectations from retail (shops/ restaurant/ fast food?) -executive entrances, are we going to see this welcoming local businesses/ wealthy people? Maybe a fans box or two for birthday etc. Id love to address these to the marketing side of the club as all i keep bragging is how this will commerciall enhance the clubs fortunes as we catch up to the commercial side of football that many clubs have inherited. Maybe pin this so we can post updates on commercial agreements? We had one for the construction of the stand so why not the commercial side? Over to you mr corney and the off field team!
  7. Does anyone know when the squad re-groups for Pre-season fitness tests and training? Also, any word of any pre-season training camps as I see Rochdale have announced their off to tenerife for a week using the islands T3 training facilities which do look rather good. Any word on deadlines that LJ may have set for those offered contracts? Unless its been announced and I havent noticed that is.
  8. More games where I can walk out of the ground and think ... 'I enjoyed that'
  9. Student membership for me, but, upon graduation, depending on circumstances, I will be bagging me a ST
  10. oh yeh crap he did! Don't know why I said penny... I remember us singing 'penney give us a wave' !
  11. To start selling chicken balti pies!! Ive not had an as good'a balti pie since I went Walsall away when Joe Royle came back after Dave Penney's dismissal/on ya bike son/ t'rar t'rar
  12. It will be interesting as to who will come out and shine for us in the last two home games of the season. I hope LJ can seal contracts imminently, so LJ can focus hit time on recruits and the pre season training regime and friendlies prior to the big August KO. Who is on your release list? For me: Mellor, Winchester, Millar, Rodgers, Dunfield, Kusunga and Macdonald, the latter 2 based on being injury prone. Cracking win today!! Next season looks bright, a new stand, a potential rumoured sponsorship deal, a young energetic manager! Hopefully good gates next season, some good recruits, attractive football, a push up the top half/ play offs and a good fa cup run!! Im off for a beer!! WE ARE STAYING UP!! OWTB!!
  13. Could be wrong here, but in reply of someone who mentioned about Mike Ashley taking over, im not sure your allowed to own two clubs who participate in the same competition so Fa Cup and League cup in this instance. Read it somewhere, although feel free to correct me.
  14. I think he was the lad Johnson gave is his debut to, only 5 mins after coming on he commits a reckless challenge and see's a straight red..
  15. And the 'Random, Wednesday afternoon award that make you spit your brew over your table in laughter, narrowly missing your laptop award' goes to HarryBosch and petelatics! Congrats
  16. My source, a very very very accurate one mind tells me, that a stand is being built on the Broadway end of the ground I could be wrong, watch this space!
  17. makes the crawley at home game next Saturday even more important. Sadly, I cant see more than 1 point in these next three games :/ 93rd minute header... utter gutted!
  18. IN by a country mile! League 2 or not, Im sticking by him. I have faith he will come good, I just hope that come next season he takes everything he has learnt from this season and corrects it for the next!
  19. Given tonight's 2-0 home loss to Rotherham leaving us 18th and 2 points off relegation with teams below and above us having a game or two in hand, the final ten the lads need to pull their fingers out and maintain our status in this division!! Our next two games, Crewe away and then Crawley at home, two highly winnable and 6 points desperately needed! That follows two hard games v Leyton Orient away and Brentford at home where we will be lucky to get a point. April sees us v Bradford away, a difficult ground and a good team especially up front. Sheffield United (h) and Carlisle away (bogey ground) seem the challenges of April with Colchester away and Coventry at home very winnable games. The may game at home v Notts Co could be the decider, they could be already down and a win is needed to keep us up. Johnson targets 50 points, 4 wins, Crewe, Crawley, Coventry and Notts County!! followed by a draw or two to tally us at 52. COME ON YOU BLUES Lets start with a 6 pointer this Saturday and Next! Keep the faith OWTB members! Should the inevitable happen and we do go down, I still think LJ is the man to do the deed! In Johnson we trust!
  20. Given yesterdays result, a poor performance which leaves us 3 points off relegation with one or two teams below us with a game in hand. What do you predict for Tuesday? 1-1 for me : Weslo to score for us
  21. I think we will stay up, but given the past 3 seasons and the relegations battles we've had, including this season's, I cant help but think.. when will the inevitable happen when relegation will happen.
