  1. Come on Oldham!! 3 points today would be FAN-FOOKING-TASTIC!
  2. What happened to them in the main stand? Is this new stand going to have boxes where local business or wealthy folk can pay for a game or season and watch the game with hospitality? A number of clubs do this including Rochdale who offer their own private executive boxes
  3. I am not old enough to remember the glory days or the decline into this division but for some of the older fans who do, I am looking for an insight as to what went wrong, the style of football an if you've pictures, what boundary Park looked like from all angles during the glory days and through out the decline. FA Premier League 1992-1993: 19th 1993-1994: 21st (Relegated to the Football League Division 1) Football League Division 1 1994-1995: 14th 1995-1996: 18th 1996-1997: 23rd (Relegated to the Football League Division 2) Football League Division 2/ Football League 1 1997-1998: 13th 1998-1999: 20th 1999-2000: 14th 2000-2001: 15th 2001-2002: 9th 2002-2003: 5th (Play Offs vs QPR) 2003-2004: 15th 2004-2005: 19th 2005-2006: 10th 2006-2007: 6th (Play Offs vs Blackpool) 2007-2008: 8th 2008-2009: 10th 2009-2010: 16th 2010-2011: 17th 2011-2012: 16th 2012-2013: 19th 2012-2014: Who knows, will it be a new chapter in the lower division? Managers since our decline from the top flight Graham Sharp, Neil Warnock, Andy Ritchie, Billy Urmson, Mick Wadsworth, Iain Dowie, David Eyres, Brian Talbot, Ronnie Moore, John Sheridan, Joe Royle, Dave Penney, Martin Gray, Paul Dickov, Tony Philliskirk and Lee Johnson. (Question: Who do you think was worst and greatest, minus Royle) I've only been a fan since 2007/2008, I fell in love with the club, but from the days before this, what was it like? What was the feel of BP compared to today? The pukka pies, the cup runs, the style of football etc. The reason why I post this is because ive found the internet very limited on information and felt that considering the age range of this forum, it would be interesting to see what information fans have and pictures they would share. Also, given as it will be 20 years at the end of this season since we were relegated from the top division (premierleague) where do you see the next 20 years? The club, the ground, technology, fan base, finances etc. ** This isn't a moaning thread, given the amount of negativity today on the forum, so keep it clean and maybe sticky it? Given the number of members of this forum it would be great to see their own opinions**
  4. I don't think I can mentally take in the fact we want yet another Non-League player
  5. WATCH THIS SPACE : 'CENTRAL DEFENDER LEAVES LATICS' ----- 'Kusunga leaves latics after a mutual agreement' #flashbag M'changama
  6. Given the amount of money we spend supporting OAFC, think we are all aloud a moan or rant at whatever level we feel! Unless the fee comes out as a good one with future incentives, then what a F*** up this is. 'Best interests at heart for the club', b******, the best interests would be to keep tarky till summer, ensure we remain in league one, then let the bidding games begin!! BUT Brentford!!!!! Christ!!!!
  7. For someone who has to work extra hours just to make it to watch latics, I feel a mug knowing Baxter and Tarky left within 6 months of each other. Will still follow us, support us and cheer the lads on as normal but I feel hurt that we've flogged him and hurt that its to a league 1 side. What ever the fee, I think we could of held out till summer, much rather see him go then! Either way, best of luck james, must say its been great witnessing your development.
  8. If that's the sum then that is traitorous, sickening, diabolical, utter utter B****! The lad is a key player to the squad, he has 1.5 years left!!!!!!
  9. The problem is we aren't scoring enough. 5th worst scorers in league 1 show this!!
  10. Ive not seen enough of us this season to comment but, looking at stats, 11th best defence in league 1 and 5th worst for goals scored. Think its clear where we need improvement but between Philliskirk, McDonald, Rooney, JCH, we should certainly not be in this situation. Peterborough, Wolves and MK up next. Yipppeeee
  11. Reading the interview on the shrews website, it seems Sidney's days at Latics are over. He was asked about would he make his transfer permanent in the summer and he replied that basically one of the main reasons he signed for them is that he eyes them as a potential employer for next season. Good luck to the fella, shame it didn't work out for him hear, part of me thinks the shrews will think the same and come next season I think he will playing for someone abroad.
  12. Shocked he has gone to league 2, even though Scunthorpe are highly looking like promotion prospects. Could we not have done a straight swap with Yeovil, Adam Rooney for Paddy Madden :P
  13. Craig Dawson went for £600k plus add ons. Given we don't really need to sell, Hold out for 700k or more PLUS the important sell on fees and add ons.
  14. How did the applause in tribute of Wayne Harrison come about? It began silent then suddenly everyone in the ground began applaud. I thought it was a much better tribute than a silence.
  15. Was thinking that, normally its on the gravel at the bottom of SL but surely 27 coaches and 1500 people wouldn't fit there. Cheers.
  16. Been some time since I got a coach to a latics away game. Are they still behind the chaddy on that gravel?
  17. Given Matt Chamber's tweet about Weslo, philli and McDonald being possibly fit, what is your starting 11 and prediction. For me: Oxley Brown, Kusunga, Tarkowski, Grounds Petrasso, Weslo, Smith, Dayton JCH, Philliskirk Rachkubka, Rooney, Schmeltz, Mellor, Rodgers, Winchester, McDonald Prediction: 2-1 Latics ;)
  18. There will be a one minutes silence in tribute to Wayne Harrison at Anfield on Sunday. Let Anfield be silent in tribute and then roar on the boys!! OWTB
