  1. Surely our players wont be any more tired than Colchesters when you compare the two teams schedules, a couple of wins on the bounce should also put a spring into everyones step, lets look at the positives in this not the negatives, if someone like Winchester cant play a full 90 start with him and take him off when he is flagging we have a better chance of winning a game with him on the pitch from the start.

  2. All this talk of resting players on Saturday makes me chuckle, fortunately I'm sure LJ has learnt his lesson when trying to rotate the squad when playing these so called inferior teams, it should be the same 11 if fit and they need to start with the same desire and intent that they did on Tuesday night, anything less will be a step back for me.

  3. Main stand upper is generally pretty full at home games. Expect Colchester to bring very few (200 or so).

Even with the offer I would be surprised if we break 5,000 home fans. Sadly just the way it is nowadays.

I think there will be around 6000 but lets give it a chance, Rome wasnt built in a day 6000 Saturday, 500 down at Orient then hopefully with a couple of wins we could get around 8000 for the visit of PNE.

  4. People do have the funniest opinions at times...

I strongly agree, cant knock our spirit and heart but better team ? Dont get me wrong will take results like that all day long but for 60 minutes we were battered, thought Kean was tremendous barring the goal which looked to go through him, losing Wilkinson was a big loss, Murphy had a real baptism of fire and at times looked out of his depth but playing a lone striker role for 70 minutes wouldnt be a fair way to judge him, all in all a good result but lets not get giddy.

  5. On their forum there seems to be a lot of respect for our side. A lot are saying they'll be happy with a draw.

Although one comment said something along the lines of 'no doubt Boundary Park pitch will be a mud heap like Valley Parade's'. The County Ground is hardly the Nou Camp, looks a bit of a dump to me...

Plenty of grounds in this league we can be envious of but Swindons isnt one of them, at least we offer away fans an unobstructed view from behind the goal under a roof, saying that they play good football and in Kasim have in my opinion one of the most skillful players outside the PL, in the reverse game Byrne gave Mills plenty of problems and is another to keep an eye on.
