Winchester benched and it seems to be paying off ? Resting our best player creatively against a team that ships for fun ?
-
Any logical reason for not playing our best players today ?
-
Forte will rip them apart on the left today IMO, just hope he doesnt move him inside.
-
Back for Preston hopefully.
-
Only change should be for Wilkinson, may be worth playing Poleon as Murphy struggled at times on his own Tuesday.
-
Shouldn't have called him Chris; that's not a dog name
My mate called his dog Dave and I quite like it
-
Or the richer clubs will expand their academies and grab ever increasing numbers of young prospects, leaving just the dregs for the rest of us.
Sticking them on 3 or 4k a week meaning players like Ellis Plummer are well out of our reach
-
Surely our players wont be any more tired than Colchesters when you compare the two teams schedules, a couple of wins on the bounce should also put a spring into everyones step, lets look at the positives in this not the negatives, if someone like Winchester cant play a full 90 start with him and take him off when he is flagging we have a better chance of winning a game with him on the pitch from the start.
-
Just a suggestion but what about printing something off and handing them out at the turnstiles on Saturday ?
-
All this talk of resting players on Saturday makes me chuckle, fortunately I'm sure LJ has learnt his lesson when trying to rotate the squad when playing these so called inferior teams, it should be the same 11 if fit and they need to start with the same desire and intent that they did on Tuesday night, anything less will be a step back for me.

Main stand upper is generally pretty full at home games. Expect Colchester to bring very few (200 or so).
Even with the offer I would be surprised if we break 5,000 home fans. Sadly just the way it is nowadays.
I think there will be around 6000 but lets give it a chance, Rome wasnt built in a day 6000 Saturday, 500 down at Orient then hopefully with a couple of wins we could get around 8000 for the visit of PNE.
-
The price structure may have something to do with being able to charge Colchester's fans full whack as we have home seats available at the same price although I'm just speculating about the reason for full price in the Main Stand.

Anyone found out the cheapest way to do this trip yet ?

I was wondering if Kean lost the flight of the ball for the Swindon goal he would of been staring straight in there direction.

People do have the funniest opinions at times...
I strongly agree, cant knock our spirit and heart but better team ? Dont get me wrong will take results like that all day long but for 60 minutes we were battered, thought Kean was tremendous barring the goal which looked to go through him, losing Wilkinson was a big loss, Murphy had a real baptism of fire and at times looked out of his depth but playing a lone striker role for 70 minutes wouldnt be a fair way to judge him, all in all a good result but lets not get giddy.
-
Agree. It hasn't been mentioned since the game, but I was very unimpressed with Wilkinson on Saturday...
Give him a game or two, had the Poleon problem he was trying a bit too hard.
-
It doesn't look as good this season as it did last.
Agree but we had no snow last winter.

Will advance singles be made available man-euston ?

On their forum there seems to be a lot of respect for our side. A lot are saying they'll be happy with a draw.
Although one comment said something along the lines of 'no doubt Boundary Park pitch will be a mud heap like Valley Parade's'. The County Ground is hardly the Nou Camp, looks a bit of a dump to me...
Plenty of grounds in this league we can be envious of but Swindons isnt one of them, at least we offer away fans an unobstructed view from behind the goal under a roof, saying that they play good football and in Kasim have in my opinion one of the most skillful players outside the PL, in the reverse game Byrne gave Mills plenty of problems and is another to keep an eye on.
-
It would help if the fans all sat together, if they are going to open up every stand to home fans at least try to condense them into a couple of blocks, having 600 fans spread around in an end that holds 3000 does nothing for the atmosphere.
-
What would be the best outcome of the PNE v Chesterfield game for us tonight then ?
-
What if they have a very good relationship?
I'm sure in Barrys eyes they do.
-
How much is it for a return ticket from Euston to Leyton on the tube ?
-
It was a good game with two cracking goals, we should of pinched it at the end when Wilkinson had AMS square for a tap in but to be fair it could of gone either way, hopefully we can play with no fear and win the midfield battle, if we do this we have a great chance of getting a result.
