Why is that? You do know what happens to snow when the weather warms dont you?
Well its not melting where I am so I suspect the areas around BP will be worse.
-
Wrong. Warmer today, back cold again tomoro.
Oh well its got no chance then.
-
Ricardo Fuller or Leon Clarke please.
-
If they are calling it off, it needs to be done today.
With it forecast to get warmer tomorrow why call it off today ? Give it a chance to be played we are slipping down the league and Notts are in as bad a form as we are, we gain nothing for calling this game off, on top of that we keep being told most of our squad cant play more than a game a week. So for me they need to do all they can to get it on.

Loved his goals at Carlisle and Swindon.
Agree thats how I will remember him, the goal at Swindon was one of the best goals ive ever seen live, good luck up north seems a decent lad as well.

Onepiece of advice to anyone involved in the trust. Don't engage in one on one debate with anonymous posters on here. It won't end well.
Depends if they want a seat on the board

Are there any Oldham fans who have a strong allegiance with any local non league teams ? Starting next season in between supporting Latics Im looking into start following a team from non league does anybody have any experiances good or bad ?
-
He was tried and cleared of rape.
Allegations not disclosed to us before we signed him.
Not used as a reason to dismiss him.
Gentlemen..... and ladies
-
I turned against him when was trying "to hack down" an opponent to get a card.
Totally agree I was at Wolves that night and his intentions were clear to see all Im saying and thinking is recent events have put us in an awkward position, I suppose it will all boil down to an employment tribunals view on the video evidence which is pretty damning.
-
Has he been convicted of any crime, I keep reading about rape charges and spot fixing but from what I can find he has never been charged for anything. From what I can remember the club used him not disclosing the rape allegation against him, this was subsequently dropped so on the face of it he may argue we tried to punish him for crimes he didnt commit, its okay the club publically stating that convicted criminals should have a right to return to work, it doesnt look so great though when your terminating contracts based on allegations.

If the police ask for something you can give it to them,
Would they need some sort of court order ?
-
Philliskirk could be moved up front.
Then we are in trouble, a striker he aint.
-
As the evidence collected was from a less than reputable source my guess is that it will be worth sweet fa in a court of law, he was sacked within hours of being arrested so its fair to assume he will be playing on this in any future hearing, what happened to the other wrongly arrested I take it they where hung out to dry by their employer ?
-
Like he would of been difficult to find ??? It seems almost unbelievable that we would be even contemplating signing Evans if the board held such a strong view against Montano who at that time had only been accused, its starting to look a little suspect when you hear Montanos view point.People tend to give your address out when the cops ask for it so they can arrest you.
Or so I heard.

Just on ability you also cant ignore Forte, Phil and Dayton?
Id say they have glimpses of ability, their weaknesses out way any positives but thats just my opinion. I think Philly is by far the most overrated player in the squad, technically great but for the position he plays in the system we play his return is pretty poor.
-
He only played Rooney wide a few times, and the useless pile of want was going there anyway to hide from the ball, so he might as well have done.
The fact he played him there at all is mystifying, whether you liked him or not he should never have played there.

I was thinking the same about this. Mio Zio in Heyside (what used to be the Moss Inn) have a function room upstairs and would possibly be an option. Organise drink promotions and maybe a little fundraising and stick a minibus on to ferry people to the match.
There are pubs for miles around who would cry out for the trade, I would suspect the Laticszone wouldnt be big enough if there was a large turnout, closer to the ground the Bank Top Tavern have a large function room it sits on all the main transport routes and is only a 15 minute walk to the ground, matchdays offer the best chance for me of attending a meeting as I work till late through the week.

I like the fact Johnson seems to prefer signing wide midfielders to out & out wingers.
You just can't get a consistent, quality winger at this level it seems, unless it's an ageing freak of nature like Eyres.
Problem is he also seems to like to sign said inconsistent wingers to try to convert them to strikers.
If he can ditch this fetish & just sign actual centre forwards he'll have cracked it.
Last seasons fetish was playing out and out strikers as left wingers aka Rooney.

I don't think anybody who watched the verve and pace of our early season form could be anything but gutted at the last couple of months.
There are many specific factors as mentioned in this thread but 0 points from Yeovil, Crewe and Gillingham is quite simply not acceptable. It was the predictable stumble of Saturday that was so galling.
For all the negative thoughts though we are more than capable of taking 6 points from the next couple of games that would leave us comfortably in the top 10. Have the players got the character?
IMO no may get something Saturday but will struggle at Barnsley and Scunny can see 4 points tops from next three games.

Fits in well with most of the rest of the squad then.
I tend to agree, out of this current crop of players you could say J.Wilson, Mills, Jones, Kelly and Winchester at times have the ability to play at an higher level than a mid table league 1 team, in my opinion the rest would be rated average at best.
-
Biggest load of rubbish ive ever read!
Agreed a very limited footballer.
-
Mills has to come straight back in he is arguably our best player barring Kelly, Brown will be pushing B Wilson for the right back berth.

236
They restricted us to one block that held 250 but plenty of us had no seats and many were stood in the aisles, some moved over to the Gillingham block but were told not to show colours or cheer if we scored, was all a bit of a farce really, I complained to the steward near us and he said Gillingham expected 90 of us Id say there was 300-350 there.

Why is this? Seems to have been blamed for a lot of goals lately but...he always applauds the fans and is positive on Twitter?
Think we should look towards next season now and play Dieng week in week out, he is no worse than what we have and has the potential to be very good.
