  1. The longer we go without a home win,the greater the doubts will become about his ability.
  2. And don't forget the old farts in the Lookers upper. It's their fault we lost today. Not Shez or the players.
  3. And homes games in the league have been better? Getting sick of the same old dross every time we play at home. Too many youngsters in the team and others being played out of position. Can't fault the fans to-day but not enough passion or creativity on show.
  4. Law of averages says we must win a game sometime. This could be the one.
  5. Seems to be a lot of numpties on here since Rivals died.
  6. No need to apologise, and yes I agree that there are people around me who do moan. But that's life and a few hundred or maybe thousand message boarders can never hope to achieve the kind of uniform mindset that some are wishing for.
  7. Lookers Carl, I don't begrudge any Latics fan who wants to sing. And I didn't say that I did. I am making the point that I am no less a supporter because I don't usually sing and I have said elsewhere that I have never booed any of our players. What happened on the pitch yesterday is down to the Manager and the players. And for many games this season, referees and linesmen have had an impact. We go to watch them. They aren't paid to come and watch us. And don't try and tell me that everyone sings in the Chaddy. The level of noise of support will always be relative to what's happening on the pitch. Yesterday could have been different without the Davies substitution and to my mind Shez made a mistake.
  8. You're missing the point. It's about freedom of choice. I've had season tickets in all parts of the ground. The Chaddy was the place when I was younger for atmosphere, yes but the view is not good. Main Stand seats are too close together and uncomfortable. NSM has more legroom. Supporters evolve (or fans if you're not a supporter). Now I'm older I don't sing as much, I leave that to the younger ones. All the "old farts in the lookers" are probably lifelong Latics fans. They will have seen it all before, good and bad times. But they still keep coming. If people want to sing then let 'em but let's move away from the notion that we should all be clones without original thoughts.
  9. So do I and I'm getting a little peed off with the reasons being given by some on here that all our problems at home are being caused by people like you and me. I don't sing very often a football matches bit I never moan at the players. It's a young team with little experience and they are going to be inconsistent.
  10. Don't think it's fair to compare the thought processes with regard to loyalty of Rednapp and Kilkenny. The former is a well established Premiership Manager with a good playing career behind him with a settled life and family. The latter is a young man still learning his trade who allegedly likes a good night out probably feels insecure. Different as chalk and cheese. Yes I thought Kilkenny would sign for us after the Leeds game but it wasn't to be. Different age groups with different mentalities. Probably why you'll never see an old moaner carrying a drum into the "Lookers Upper."
  11. Colin Whittaker scored a hat-trick in the 11-0 demolition of Southport on Boxing Day 1962 to complement Bert Lister's 6 goals.
  12. The tune was called Blaze Away. Quite appropriate for our away form just at the moment.
  13. There's no guarantee as far as I know that people currently with season tickets for the "Lookers" as you put it will be allocated seats in the RRE. Mr Hardy has already stated in the past that empty seats in other parts of BP will be used when the "Lookers" is demolished, in order that the small section is not compromised for the use of large visiting teams. Not everybody who sits in the "Lookers" is a moaner.
  14. Has to be Bobby Johnstone without any shadow of doubt.
  15. Tesco do their own office software. Should be able to check it online @ www.tesco.com.
  16. I'm suggesting that there is no such place as utopia. It's all very well for Eardley to have a go at people moaning at the players. But the players get in free and travel to matches for free. Let's see what happens next time he hoofs the ball over the chaddy, instead of placing it delicately on Hughes head. And no, I never moan at the team and I'm not defending those that do. It appears it's easy to pidgeon-hole supporters on here. The game's all about opinions. My favourite player can be the next man's lazy sod.
  17. So why stop there? Why not zoning for drum bangers, pie eaters, over 60's,moaners,females,muppets,singers,non-singers,chavs, txt speakers who can't spell. It's a free country and people will do just as they please. Let's brainwash the whole of the Lookers.
  18. I'm struggling to understand why our home form this season is because of the "moaning brigade"? It's true we haven't been ripping any trees up this season but blaming in on the fans is just nonsense. New players still feeling their way around, loanees, loss of Porter and Wellens, injuries to Gregan and Liddell and Pogs and umpteen 1-0 defeats have contributed to our current league position. We haven't had a great deal of luck apart from the swansea game and most referees these days seem to favour the away team.
