  1. The two pictures seem to be slightly different shades though
  2. There is a queue for it mate. Last season, there were 6 season ticket holders from Milnrow and we all used to go to the mathes together. This season there is me and my son. The rest have decided to "pick and choose" their games. This probably includes them not wanting to go and look at the back of some moron's head because we have all been shifted into the small setion of the RRE and our Muppet Choir feel it necessary to stand on their tio-toes to have a pop at the away support. Anyway, if I do decide to do something else with my Saturday afternoons (which isn't really going to happen (for me at any rate)) then I am sure one of the 4 drop-outs would want to buy it, albeit at a discounted rate
  3. Your opinion means absolutely nothing to me whatsoever. I will make whatever choices I decide I want to make.
  4. Does this happen at Rochdale? It's probably closer to where I live anyway. Manchester is proabably easier to get to by train.... Life is full of choices.
  5. Johnnypunkster also suggested that I might choose not to attend the ground. I took that option when we played Leeds at home and may well do again this season if we keep getting treated worse than the away support. Sad times when someone who has been watching Latics since the 70's feels like that. It is starting to feel like it is not my club - don't even start me on the new / shared ground thing
  6. No mate - I am too Northern to buy a brand new car
  7. Let us sit in the large section? Are you having a laugh?
  8. Wrong topic. You want the Ground Move/Share Rumour topic, but for the record I think that Nottingham is too far away for us to ground share with them.
  9. Hmm. I didn't ask for the Lookers to be demolished. I didn't ask for there to be no bar in the Chaddy. I didn't ask for there to be no leg room in the Main Stand. I would have moved from the RRE to the Main Stand this season, but as my son is in Boundary Blues, my choices were either sit in the Chaddy, or get treated like a second class citizen in the RRE. Just because I knew it would happen doesn't make it right.
  10. If you look at the photos, it looks like there are two diffent shades of blue. Also, on the first teaser, Carbrini seems to be printed, suggesting main shirt sponsor logo, but on the second, it is emroidered plus you can see the weave of the material; therefore suggesting that this is on the shorts. It's a lemon-entry my dear Watson.
  11. Done. I think that there should have been a question about how fans feel about England matches only being shown on subscription television services. I very strongly believe that the FA sold us out when they sold the rights to England matches to Sky/Satanta/ESPN/anyone else. ALL England football matches whether competitive or friendlies should be shown on the BBC (which we all HAVE to pay for anyway). The FA should realise that they don't own our national game, merely administrate for it - English Football belong to English Football Fans, Housewives, Children - everybody - regardless of their ablity to pay to watch.
  12. I wouldn't touch him with Someone else's Bargepole.....!!!
  13. This post reminds me of the famous Alan Hansen quote about winning nothing with kids. How old was Rooney when he broke into Everton's first team? Giggs? Scholes? Walcott? Fabian Delph? All played at the end of a match for half an hour? If you don't throw them into the action, they will never become acustomed to it. Don't forget that Hughes did OK before Christmas, but was complete GASH after.
  14. I agree with you. But I would give Brooke his chance at the start and use the Loan system to bolster our options - we need to develop our own talent as well as brinign in the right players. Is Hughes on of the right players? Not in myn opinion he isn't.
  15. Too true, but my point is that there are plenty of 20 goals-a-season players out there and I don't think we should saddle ourselves with a bad-egg. I am sure that many of the names in my list were pretty unknown or unproven before they weighed in with the goal tallies they did - the thing is, they have pretty much all moved on and are now big names. I'd much rather go for a young, fit and motivated player than rely on Hughes. I thought that Ryan Brooke did great when he came on at Walsall. Scored with his first touch and could have got a hatrick! He would be my choice for Pav's partner to start the season - afterall, he has a record better than a goal a game!!
  16. You shouldn't HAVE to put these types of terms and conditions into a professional footballer's contract. I think that the lack of offers coming in for him speaks volumes. 91 League clubs can't be wrong
  17. I don't seem to recall the story of 19 loanee strikers with a negative goals tally walking round Belle Vue Dogs with their tackle out or having their manager in a head lock...etc....etc.....etc...
  18. I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. It seems clear that this guy was one of the main reasons why Shez lost his job. I think the other was Gregan with his bullying and drinking (opinions formed from all the crap spouted on these boards). Also, it has been said the 20 goal-a-season strikers don't grow on trees (well, they'd be leaves if they did wouldn't nthey) but they are also not as rare as you might make out. 2008 - 2009 Cox Swindon 29 Lambert Bristol Rovers 29 Beckford Leeds United 27 Fryatt Leicester 27 Hooper Scunthorpe 24 Mackail-Smith Peterborough 23 2007-2008 Scotland Swansea 29 Lambert Bristol Rovers 20 Beckford Leeds 20 2006-2007 Sharp Scunthorpe 32 Constantine Port Vale 26 Varney Crewe 25 Porter Oldham Athletic 22 Hefernan Doncaster 21 Trundle Swansea 20 2005-2006 Eastwood Southend 25 Sharp Scunthorpe 24 Trundle Swansea 21 Hayter Bournemouth 20 Windass Bradford 20 2004-2005 Lita Bristol City 29 Elliott Hull 29 Windass Bradford 28 Boyd Hartlepool 27 Abbott Huddersfield 27 Parkin Swindon 24 Hayter Bournemouth 22 Howard Luton 22 Brooker Bristol City 21
  19. I listened to that match on Latics World. It sounded like he changed the game, but he obviously wasn't fancied by either Chelsea OR Latics. He does sound quality though - Fab Ferreira !
