  1. It’s so odd. Why didnt the club/wellens replace Jewell?
  2. My god. Didnt realise it was four wins in 23! That is abysmal.
  3. Yeah, you make some good points there. I still don’t think we should be struggling this badly, and wellens should and will take his share of blame. BUT the general direction of the club, has been so poor, for so long, that the brutal truth is this has been coming for a long time. It wasn’t for shez it would of been last year. Oh, and the year before that. You can only hope, if we do go down. It’s a time to reassess, and with a new owner start running the club properly again.
  4. I wouldn’t bother. Seriously, what chance are giving someone? Especially an outsider. If we did I would of been tempted to give it TP, but we can’t. Best to stick with him now, and see if he can get a couple of results.
  5. Yep. We were always ‘unlucky’ under Penney, Dickov, Robinson, Dunn, Kelly, and now wellens. You make your own luck IMO, and under shez we did. Hence we stayed up twice, when all looked lost.
  6. That’s the nature of things. Have many times, and how many managers have we had, where we miss 2/3/4 great chances, and then they go and score. Doesn’t happen to other sides with the same regularity it does with us. The buck stops with the manager.
  7. Agreed. I take no pleasure in calling wellens record out. None of us want to be shit! Im desperate for him to keep us up. He still might. ??
  8. I can understand people wanting to give him a chance next season if we stay up. It might be harsh, but I would shake his hand, and go in a different direction. But if we go down. . It’s just a no brainier. He would have to go IMO. (Awaits the onslaught from the stability brigade. ?)
  9. He’s a enigma Byrne. It must be a dilemma for wellens. Trust him with a starting place and he can let you down. Bench him, and/or piss him off, and he’s a match winner. Our best player. . But starts on the bench. Frustrating for all concerned.
  10. You don’t give a fuck? But you take the time to comment. ? It wasn’t in game. So. . You’ve read my posts on another thread, and just presumed to know what I meant? Nice one. ‘My thinly veiled wellens out campaign’ is laughable. I’ll explain what happened. . . I came on my football clubs forum to ask other fans how they think he’s doing. Some agree some don’t. Seems to me you can’t comprenened that, without jumping to conclusions.
  11. Chuffed we got something. It’s a while since I’ve screamed that loud at an equaliser. I think the fact we didn’t get beat today is absolutely massive. Keep the dons involved, we stay out of the bottom four. If we had lost. . Well. . We didn’t. So who cares. On to tuesday.
  12. Fair enough. Luckily I don’t have to explain my emotions in a game to you.
  13. Wind your fucking neck in. You don’t even know me. Why the fuck would I be gleeful?? I want us to go down do I??? What a stupid post.
  14. We need something here. fucking come on boys.
  15. I bet you would have him sleeping in your spare room. . . For as long as he needs it.
  16. Top post. You hit the nail on the head. He set the bar at the start. We all thought, oh hello. . This looks very promising. An the truth is we’ve not come close to repeating it.
  17. I was on my soap box there. Apologies. I totally agree about Ronnie Moore. I’ve said it a few times on the thread. He is the only standout, where looking back he shouldn’t of been sacked. The fans got him sacked, not the results. He was a lower league sam allardyce. Thing is, I just can’t for the life of me understand why as fans we should be bothered about how long a manager has been at the club. If he’s doing well, he stays. If we’re struggling, he comes under scrunity. Surely, that is only fair and rational? Why should the carousel stop, if they aren’t good enough? Otherwise we’re always hoping somebody might turn good while for 18 months we watch pretty average football. Shouldn’t we should be looking at better recruitment? How many applications do we get when the job comes up??? We always go cheap. Steve Evans was close, would of been a fantastic appointment, but it fell through. If AL has got a bit to throw at it, he’s the type I would want, or as somebody else said Graham Alexander. It’s no guarantee, but some pedigree would be nice. If he keeps us up and got sacked, I think he would feel hard done by. An to be fair, I can understand why. But I’m not arsed about sentiment, I just want better for us than settling for 17th.
