  1. I’m really starting to think we could do something this year. What we’re doing is very impressive, the performances are very consistent. Which if it carries on the league position will take care of itself. Been on Bradfords forum and there very complimentary, (which is unusual as fans are generally one eyed.) Saying we’re in a false position, really decent side. McCall saying positive things as well. I can’t remember the last time I fancied us no matter who we were playing. Even if we finish top 10, how good is it to genuinely think we’ve got at least a chance this year!? Happy days. * * (I await the enivatable off the field self inflicted drama)
  2. Fair enough. I’m saying this with zero knowledge of his wage. If he’s cheap, then I can see the reasoning. Squad player/Good voice. I was assuming as a senior player he would be on a fairly decent whack. Which when you bear in mind how many times he went missing last year, and his age could of been better spent elsewhere.
  3. One bad call from Shez over the summer was giving Green another year. I would of said goodbye.
  4. If we’re doing well. Don’t underestimate Byrne’s desire to stay with us till at least the end of the season. If the takeover goes through, we might even be in a position to make Wigan an offer ourselves.
  5. I wish every game was like that today. Good football, great atmosphere, and that was before the winner! Its been long time since I’ve watched someone like Byrne in our side. Absolutely ran the show. All the lads put a shift in. The only slight issue for me Gervaro- gets in in some great positions, but his final ball today was poor. Hopefully he’ll improve. Wellens must be nailed on for the job, it’s not just the results, but even at 0-0 I really enjoyed the game. We move the ball quickly, and we play at a high tempo. It’s good to watch. Eieieio!!! ?
  6. Why? 1. He takes it, gets backed and we do well. 2. He takes it, doesn’t get ‘promised funds’ but still does well. 3. The takeover doesn’t go through and/or he’s shit an gets sacked. He’s the same as any other name manager on the maybe promise of investment.
  7. Hope- Top ten. I don't think it's beyond the imagination to hope for a top ten finish. I think defensively we'll be very sound. Ripley would cement that, but I still think we'll be fine with or without him. A back four of hunt, Clarke, gerrard, mclaughlin is very good on our budget IMO. Up front Davies will score his share, and I think him and Holloway will be a good foil for each other. Plus we've osei, and ruffus to add competition. The biggest hope though is shez himself. If he can get a few to play above their level for long periods, then we might have a sniff of doing something. Expeactation. 12-16th. While up front and and at the back looks pretty solid. Midfield is still a concern for me. I know shez said he's still looking to add another midfielder, and I hope Gardner turns out to be a good signing. Even so I don't think any of green/fane/banks sets the world alight. All capable on their day, but it's not a midfield that particularly inspires. I think we'll score a few more, (im praying we do) but I don't see us having the guile or quality of spine to the side to really challenge. I would take any improvement on last year though, Which should be very achievable. Thoughts?
