  1. 2nd Sept 2006. Played 6 games. Latics 22nd Blackpool 18th Scunny 20th. Tranmere were 2nd. iirc it took a few more games before we began to seriously climb the table. Let's at least wait until the end of September before making predictions for the May 2008.
  2. I have been voicing my opinion, and I've been basing it on facts. You've started off by stating that anyone who doesn't agree with your "opinion" is deluded. Then you've said I sound like a manure fan, although you don't seem to be explaining why. I'd associate moaning after 2 defeats with manure glory hunting fans. I'd associate watching the game properly, seeing how we actually played and what went well (and what didn't) with real football fans. Happy with the way we played? Not completely, but there were clear signs that we are playing in the right way. I said the same last season after 4 games. You seem despondent, I wonder how you felt last season after 6 games with 4 points on the board? Or are you just calling it as you see the table? Tell me; what positives did you see yesterday?
  3. yeah, right. 2 defeats and you're whining. you sound like a 12 yr old who's been sent to bed early. my dad's bigger than your dad.
  4. we had 7 shots on target. they had 1. how many games do you expect to see where a team with 1 shot on target rather than a team with 7 shots on target goes away with the 3 points? I'm far happier being regarded as "deluded" by you than I would be if I was agreeing with you. You're not really a qualified judge, more of an unqualified idiot - but only because you couldn't put your name on the test paper. KtF
  5. Ok, let's go though the facts. The CVA was deemed unacceptable to the tax man mainly because their were 2 creditors using the size of their credit to sway the CVA decision by waiving their debt if bates was approved over other offers. The creditors involved were 2 off shore companies, with hidden identities, directors, owners etc. I wonder how the debts to these companies arose? and how with another offshore company they had half the leeds debt? So the los of the CVA route was down to bates's machinations. So what could the FL do? Refuse the golden share? That would have been the biggest punishment to the fans. Relegate them to Lge 2? Again, big impact on fans. So, allow them back? but there has to be a meaningful penalty. Has to be more than the admin penalty so 15 pts.
  6. I've just had another look through the thread on JK. Where exactly were you slaughtered in any sense other than that no-one agreed with you? No one laid into YOU, just the opinion you posted. You called someone a pleb though. I think you need to get a spine. You even suggested that you didn't intend for people to respond! It's a message board! Duh! Your latest post seems to suggest that the "nasty" people have upset you?
  7. Imo, it's not actually the best location for the future of the club. It's not near a railway line, and not near the M60. If we were to relocate, I'd suggest somewhere just off the m60, e.g the old british aerospace site or the gas holder at hollinwood. These sites would give a higher profile, easier access to a wider population, and woul not put off many of the 4-5000 hardcore of fans.
  8. Hmmm, I think the current plans are for about 600 apartments/houses, with blocks of up to 7 storeys? Now, let's look at some figures: The original sceme was worth £80million. But if you take this new scheme with a fairly low value of £100k per property on average, the homes themselves would be worth £60m of development. I think they may well have pulled a classic planning move - always ask for about 50% more than you expect to get. They might well end up with 5 storey blocks and 500 properties. TTA would probably pick up £30k profit for each property, giving them £15million to fund the stadium development from the housing alone. The hotel, gym and offices would provide further funds.
  9. Ok, 2006/07 price was £300 for most areas, works out as £13.04 per game. On the day was £20/£18 in advance. If STs went up to £320 that's be an average of less than £14 a game, which would hold up against frozen match day/in advance prices. imho. Wouldn't provide much funds though: 3000 x £20 = £60,000. Not even 1 good players wages.
  10. Perhaps the starting point should be a 6" x 3` piece (scarf/banner?) hemmed and with a small embroidered endorsement? Might cost a couple of quid to get each piece done, but sell for £10 each in aid of Kershaws? If there was more material available, people could pay more for a larger piece (3`x2`flag, 6x4` flag?) I suppose it depends on how much spare there is? Bear in mind as well that the club will lose out on scarf/flag sales to some degree with this, so maybe a donation via the trust would also be in order (once costs have been covered.)
