Well yes, and I say it again - I’m no fan boy - but he defo contributed yesterday with Freeman .

Of course, when you can’t get around them it’s what you do.

I’m not a happy clapper for Green but he got a few decent crosses in and forced several corners in the second half with Freeman helping him out, who incidentally I thought played very well to say he hasn’t played for weeks.

I think greens pace and link up play with freeman worked ok today. He’s not the best but he put a couple of decent crosses in today which should have been used much better than they were.

He didn’t seem to do much but he definitely gave their defence more to think about than Nuttall.

Good post , my only issue is we can’t seem to hold a system together long enough for it to count. I hope Mellon can find a formula soon. probably in a minority here but I thought Mcgahey did ok today .

I wouldn’t say out of the question but I’ve seen more than enough of this squad to know they are as unpredictable and unreliable as the British weather . Chasing a game again. Frightened of the ball. Norwood all over the place doing everyone’s job for them. Great goal by sheron though and at least we came out and played a bit second half for a change.

Absolutely, booing him onto the field is madness. I was vey close to the players on Tuesday as many of us were and I saw Hudsons head drop instantly when he started getting grief from the fans. I’m not defending him or any of them for that display but I felt for him at the time.

It’s a tough one with Nuttall, he clearly has ability and can score the odd goal but I definitely think it’s right to question his work rate, not how many miles he covers I mean his positioning, winning headers, hold up play, first touch all of which have been really poor for the majority of the time I’ve seen him. He needs to use his physical presence to better effect. Fondop is a liability at times but he does win stuff in the air and can bring people into play, for what it’s worth I think he would have changed things on Tuesday if he’d come on, not won it obviously but at least the ball wouldn’t have just been pinged pointlessly back to Hudson after being kicked out in hope to find Norwoods head. But, that’s just me and my opinion.

He played against York and scored a great goal but then next few games I think he reverted to type and became anonymous

True, but it’s a priority for me. Bottom of the league, barely won a game and they looked good and Imposed on us all the way through . That’s surely about mindsets.

We let them, got there possibly thinking we just needed to turn up, they were fired up as everyone is against us. I bet Fylde dont play the same on Saturday . We really need to learn how to absorb the cup final mentality many teams use against us and overcome them .
