Diego_Sideburns
Not got used to it yet, but so far it doesn't seem as easy on the eye as the last one.
Matt
It'll be okay - it took a few of us to be convinced, we've been using it for about a week now in the background.

Like Matt says DS - it took a week or so to get used to it, but it's a nice change of pace and keeps us upto date. Nothing much has changed in the structure and we're open to suggestions. leeslover
It seems to me that less of the page is devoted to the actual messages until you scroll down, which I am finding mildly irksome. It might all be an illusion of course and I am imagining it. Otherwise I'm sure we'll all get used to it.

Yep, it's just a lick of paint - there's no layout changes at all and the format is exactly the same.

IIRC the heading on the old layout had the apostrophe in "Fans' Forum", whereas this one doesn't.

Matt
Why don't you draw a picture of one then whenever you see an apostrophe crime, just physically pop it in the right place and away you go... Hey, it'll be like you are correcting the internet!
Diego_Sideburns
Why don't you draw a picture of one then whenever you see an apostrophe crime, just physically pop it in the right place and away you go... Hey, it'll be like you are correcting the internet! What have you got against correcting an error in a banner that represents OAFC around the world? Wnen we were asked to vote on proposed banners, I pointed out the omission and it was corrected before being used. Now there is a reluctance to correct the same omission, even though it could have been done already with minimal fuss. I don't mind the pedant jesting, and I accept that most of the errors don't matter in the great scheme of things, but resisting correction of an error to be seen at the top of each page, even in the new miniscule type face, seems to be cutting off your nose to spite your face. BigfinLatic
IIRC the heading on the old layout had the apostrophe in "Fans' Forum", whereas this one doesn't. I may be walking into a hornets nest here, but as far as I can see 'fans forum' is correct.... Essentially, it is a 'forum for fans' and has no ownership for the fans.... you woulldnt want to write 'fans's Forum' so why would you add an apostrophe? I dont really know, bit I just googled them both, and couldnt find a single example of Fan's Forum... and the search tried to correct it to fans forum Is the whole world wrong? Do i have too much time on my hands? Was my whole degree in English worthwhile? We will see... This is why it's so crucial to use the apostrophe to indicate how many hornets. We need to know. Anyway, speaking of Hornets: http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0...1143551,00.html http://www.charlton-athletic.co.uk/supporters_director.ink http://www.fsf.org.uk/freelions/news/engla...nsforum.php?id=

In the pub it said 'Celtic Supporters Club' on a poster on the wall. D_S said it should have an apostrophe but I still insist it doesn't...because the club was for Celtic supporters...not the property of them. Celtic Supporters' Club would surely indicate that the club could be for anything, but is the property of Celtic supporters...whilst a Celtic Supporters Club would indicate that the club's ownership/control may not be in the hands of the the Celtic supporters...but the club was created for that very group. I still think I'm right... It's a sad time when the above is deemed more interesting than what one is doing on a Saturday night at nigh on two in the morning...but there is little as dull as interrogating a 1642 letter from one brother to another at the outset of Civil War... P.S. Talk of the pub in Swindon has reminded me that I still owe you a pint BigFin...don't let me forget next time our paths cross!

We members of OWTB have our own Forum. http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/SupporterInfo...ortersClub.aspx In this example the Foundation Trust appears to have only one Supporter as a member. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/oafcmetty/Kee...Faith/intro.htm Edited February 1, 2009 by Diego_Sideburns
