Superbowl

Recommended Posts

Er London in February? There's a reason why Meadowlands (or whatever its called), and Foxboro haven't hosted a Superbowl for as long as I remember- the weather. Most Superbowls are played either in the South, where the weather has a resonable chance of being OK or indoors, where the weather don't matter. One of the biggest sports events in a year looks bloody stupid if it is spoilt by the weather. I'd be highly surprised if London is successful with this, especially as it can't happen until 2013 at the earliest.

We just call it Giants Stadium ;)

But yeah, your dead right. The new stadium in at the Meadowlands will not have a retractable roof, and therefore, the NFL has said it wont be considered for Superbowls due to the weather.

There'd be riots in America if this ever came to fruition. And rightly so.

Having said that, it'd be an easy way for me to see a live Superbowl, which can only be a good thing.

Who knows - if it's not for a good few years the Lions might have a chance of being there :D

What do you mean 'no'?

You need to have a roof up our end which in their wisdom the owners didnt put onto the new stadium....

Waiting for my quote from sports travel tours to come through to go over and watch either the Chargers or Cardinal game next term :)
