GlossopLatic
I believe they have double the voting power of the lower leagues. Would the turkeys vote for Christmas? Thats a fair comment but back to my main arguement the regionalisation would only work under certain criteria. if we have a league 1 North of 24 and only 2 going up and 2 going down then as a competition it would flounder so unless the Championship were to give abit of ground here then regionalisation isn't a viable option. ITV Digital did lower league football no favours. Sky have the money. ITV don't. The lower leagues have no choice but to jump in to bed with Sky. Again a fair point but the arguement that people put forward would be that regionalisation would reduce advertising revenue and TV money in reality it wouldn't change either way certainly not significantly. GlossopLatic
There's probably a detailed article on this somewhere, but how would relegation from the Championship work? E.G: say three southern teams come down. Would probably make financial sense, but reckon some of the money saved from "overnighters" should then go towards a minibus to take OASIS members to matches! If 3 southern teams came down then the three most northerly clubs in league 1 south lets call it would move into league 1 North. Which would mean alot of chopping and changing for clubs in the midlands who could be playting in league 1 north one season and league 1 south the next which they may or may not be particulary happy about. jimsleftfoot
Nor me Ahhh cost saving initiative, the team could stay on the sofas of all you southern fairy types. Job done!!! Edited May 22, 2009 by jimsleftfoot
Zorrro
If Stam was still at the club, he could crash at mine. As long as he didn't mind me spooning him.

In order for it to work relegation from the championship would have to be increased to 4 teams, and 2 teams from each division would be promoted. The way it would work ie 3 southern teams come down, basically the 48 teams would be divided into north and south according to their geographical locations, so you could get some teams round midlands, such as walsall, who would possibly yoyo between north and south, depending on how many northern/southern teams made up the league
