lonelylaticsfaninaus
Ex Citeh player takes the reigns. Stocky! This is good news. Hate to hear about honest, battling clubs going out of business.
OldhamSheridan
But on the other side of things, what does this do to their points total? I presume there is no CVA forthcoming*, unless they are willing to settle 100% of debts. So -17 points? *Not an accountant so don't really know the rules myself. razza699
How do they hire a manager now? they have made the position "redundant"
opinions4u
How do they hire a manager now? they have made the position "redundant" They could appoint a "first team coach" or more likely ring up Mr Gammon and offer him his job back. The former would appear to breach redundancy legislation in my view. I presume there is no CVA forthcoming*, unless they are willing to settle 100% of debts. So -17 points? -15 I believe. I think the other -2 points apply if the club have been in administration before. Quite happy for somebody who cares enough to correct me though! GlossopLatic
I believe they have a deadline to come out of administration if they meet that and buy back their golden share in the Football League in that time then no points deduction leeds didn't meet this deadline and didn't buy back their golden share thats why they were deducted 15 points. Although I am not 100% sure of the rules. Edited June 12, 2009 by GlossopLatic

That's about the long and short of it, except you have to come out of admin by a certain date with an agreement with your creditors for payment (CVA) to avoid the points deduction. Lookers_Carl
And Leeds uniteds points deduction was for not coming out of administration via a CVA
