dfOAFC Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 can't be long til they sell him now, can it??? Toure signed and now they've bid £19m for Lescott. Onuah just signed for 5 more years too. He'd look a £10m snip in a Villa shirt Quote
bensonio Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 OR put back into his favoured right back position? Quote
MaskedOwl Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 OR put back into his favoured right back position? yep, right back all the way. dont think we will be seeing that money any time soon. Quote
Rocky_Latic Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 yep, right back all the way. dont think we will be seeing that money any time soon. It's not like City need to sell anyone anyway. They could have a 100 man squad if they wanted too. Quote
madaboutoafc Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Richards is only what 21/22 so he is still fairly young n still learning his trade n i cant see city selling him yet think we may have to wait a couple more years till we see any moneys from him,not like city need to sell any 1 at the min. singe Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) I might be losing the plot here but once hes 24 do we still get any money? Obviously City more likely to sell than let him leave for free but what happens not a clue? I think it is a sell on fee rather than a Youth Development clause. ie the sell on fee works whenever and is put in by the club, the Youth Development is a Football League/PRemier LEague legal ruling. Well I hope it is. Thinking about it, it is bound to be a sell on , as City would not be able to try and buy it out. Edited July 30, 2009 by singe Quote
ste1987 Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) Thinking about it, it is bound to be a sell on , as City would not be able to try and buy it out good thinking wish it was clear what was what. Just sell him now for 12 million and let us have he cash. At least it wasnt a swap for Toure at some 1 million crap. I think its a 20% sell on clause for sure. Can't see him shifting anytime in the future. Just be used more in his preferred right back position. Edited July 30, 2009 by ste1987 Quote
creepy Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 right back for Richards, when he regains his form this season he will be one of if not the best right back in the country we wont be seeing any Micah money for a long time Quote
andy_b_100 Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 According to the Blue Moon site a poster with the credibility of Harry Dowd has stated that the Lescot deal is nearly complete and that he will be a City player within 24 hours.... but cant say the same for Richards !!!! City Fan sat right next to me Quote
millsy82 Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 The one thing that may play into our hands is that Richards and Hughes don't get along (from what I've heard). The question is, is Hughes the sort of manager to let personallity clashes get in the way of making footballing decisons Quote

oafc1955 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Even if Richards goes, the windfall would be ploughed straight into the stadium project.....Unfortunately, In the present economic climate, there is no way any money would be used to strengthen the team! Quote
