onesj Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 http://www.cnplus.co.uk/5205577.article It would look lovely on T'Holly Lake! Just a thought Quote
garcon Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Only 150,000 capacity though. clearly not showing enough ambition. Quote
fleetwood Blue Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 http://www.cnplus.co.uk/5205577.article It would look lovely on T'Holly Lake! Just a thought that looks good but imagine how long it would take you to get over that bridge with 150,000 people going in the same direction and a simple eviction for those causing trouble, lost at sea. Frankly Mr Shankly Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 They've proposed it right down at the forum end, where the Primavera Sound festival is at. I hope they don't change owt, it's lovely there. Right, where's that opposition group to this stadium? Quote
ste1987 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 You'll be giving ideas to our friends at Bloomfield Road for an extension off central pier Quote
fleetwood Blue Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 You'll be giving ideas to our friends at Bloomfield Road for an extension off central pier I would then be thinking of ways to sink the bastard Quote
leeslover Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 You'll be giving ideas to our friends at Bloomfield Road for an extension off central pier That idea sounds about right for Wigan Quote
BlueInAus Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Imagine trying to stumble home drunk from the stadium. 9 times out of 10 you end up all wet and salty. (not going any further with that one ) Quote
BP1960 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 (edited) Now that's real ambition isn't it Corporal And this was also on that website; Chesterfield new stadium Whats the betting Latics get a replica of that ? Edited August 5, 2009 by BP1960 Quote
rudemedic Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Erm so that's what happened to the bloke responsible for Dubai. Looks like it might be a goer but it would take about 10 years to build surely. Plus at 150,000 capacity I wonder how small the view of the pitch is from the Gods and if they need clearance to avoid low flying aircraft. It might give ideas to PLC and Citeh though and that would solve our stadium worries. Quote
johnny punkster Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 just to put your worries at ease, its believed to be complete and utter bollocks-the club know nothing of these plans and are supposed to be modernising camp nou ,to be completed 2012,where the capacity will be increased to 115,000 and a roof being built all around. http://www.fcbarcelona.cat/web/english/clu..._nou/text1.html it looks nice though, but its just someone arseing around with a dream. Its a grotty place the Nou Camp. They would be well to knock it down and rebuild it. Its light years behind a modern stadium. I am glad its going to be modernised. Anyway, in regards to the stadium at sea... Maybe we could build ours in the middle of the ship canal and really be part of Manchester Edited August 5, 2009 by oafc0000 Quote
