Lee Sinnott
I went to City-Scunthorpe tonight and City brought on Vlad Weiss for half an hour and he ran the Iron full back (who had done a decent job up against SWP) ragged. Could be worth a loan move until Smalley is back to full fitness?
wozz_oafc
Went to City Bolton at last game of last season and he came on then and looked class. Would love to see him come here on loan.

I do wonder why we seem to have very little connection with City. They seem to have a few very good young players (likely to increase now they have backing) and yet we never seem to get any loans off them. The last one was Lee Croft I guess which worked out pretty well, is it a case of us not asking? I can't see them having a problem with lending us the odd promising youngster. I watched him play in the fa youth cup final in 2007/8. he was in my poinion the best player in the game and have admired him since. i would be delighted if we could, he's a very good player and will do very well in the future i think

futchers briefs
Yeah, whilst we are on that, Michael Owen is not catching every week, if fit he could probably do a job for us.......

rudemedic
Weiss, this season is I think a bit close to the first team for a loan (we might have had him last year though). The team I'd be looking at for youngsters is Liverpool as I don't think a few of the players they had on the bench last night will get anywhere near the team this season now that they are out of the Carling Cup and a few may well be good players for this level. tangerinedreams
Even so after having Mr Hughes here, clearly a fans favourite after the 18 goals in a good 1st half season and lacklustre 2nd half........putting aside the obvious reasons why nobody would want him here, would anyone object to someone alongside paw with a fair bit of premiership experience and who knows where the net is........tell you what i'll go and have a chat to myself. Oldham Community Trust
Not sure the top Prem clubs are keen to loan players to League One sides as the Championship teams are happy to take them and the quality is slightly better. Looking at Wigan & Bolton could be a good shout though!
