leeslover
But managers still rate him because he keeps getting clubs, He had a good spell for us when he was after a new contract, and to be fair did well at Hibs, but Strachan only gave him the odd 5 minute spell here and there most of the time at Celtic, even when he had lots of forwards out or in shocking form. It's a funny one
jsslatic
Good player IMO. Would never sign him permanently because of the injuries but on loan he'd do a job in the contract. Fonte has gone to Southampton, now that's a quality signing.

Bring Back Ronnie Moore
I thought Killen was pretty crap to be honest, slow and not a very good finisher.

penrhyn
Killen is a quality player when fit and interested. His goal per game ratio for us was quite good, he just didnt play enough. Injury prone ? probably
MaskedOwl
people are just bitter that he cost us a fortune overall and hardly kicked a ball. quality player in this league. prob do a good job in the championship. he plays on the world stage so can't be as bad as people make out. Uncle Ronald was I think correct that he hardly kicked a ball for us because he was a big girls blouse who had to take a month off every time he felt a little twinge that most players would have shrugged off. For all the stick that Porter got he was playing when he was clearly in agony. As for playing on the world stage, he will be alongside such luminaries as Tony Lochhead, Ivan Vicelich, Simon Elliot and Shane Smeltz. That's google. It's a funny one The only reason Celtic signed him was on the back of one good season at Hibs. He's never had a look in at Parkhead and never would do in the near future. 8 starts in 2 and a half years with about 30 appearances from the bench. 2007/08 McDonald Jan Vennegoor Samaras Killen Riordan 2008/09 McDonald Samaras Jan Vennegoor Maloney Cillian Sheridan Killen 2009/10 McDonald Samaras Fortune Maloney Killen He's always been 4th/5th choice down the pecking order at Parkhead. No suprise Strachan wants him back though. Probably thinks he could do a job in the championship and raiding Celtic like he's wanting too - he's hardly going to be able to attract McDonald, Samaras or Fortune to the riverside. rosa
2009/10 McDonald Samaras Fortune Maloney Killen Speaks volumes that he's last-choice striker behind Maloney, who isn't a striker, and Samaras, who has the touch of a 3-legged goat on a frozen lake. Killen actually looked pretty impressive in pre-season and looked like he might break in to the first team this season, but as usual he hasn't realised his potential, again. I always thought he did pretty well on the rare occasions he played for us and he was just really unlucky with injuries, but his whole career seems to have been defined by 'bad luck'. futchers briefs
The pain threshold of a big girls blouse and iirc, even the latics fans on soccer am first time around took the jimmy kiss out of him, with the 'catwalk' guy limping down the catwalk with Killen on the back...... leeslover
Haha. You talk as it that trio of sh1te are class and too good for boro. They are. He's found the right level though. Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan is set to bring in six players in an £8m swoop on Scotland's Old Firm. The former Celtic manager wants to take five players from Parkhead and £1.5m Hun striker Kris Boyd Full story: News of the World
Rocky_Latic
Haha. You talk as it that trio of sh1te are class and too good for boro. McDonald and Samaras are to good for a championship club. Not sure on Fortune as he's been a disappointment since his £4million move this season. Though that fee alone means Boro wouldnt pay it. Same reason you wont see Boro trying to sign McGeady or Boruc. Too highly rated at Parkhead to allow them to go to somewhere like 'Boro for a pittance. Other than that, they can pretty much take their pick at Celtic.
