What would you love to see happen in football?

Recommended Posts

Money made in football to be reinvested evenly across all formats. Manchester United fans who follow their team because they are ‘the best’ to have their televisions disconnected whenever there is football on the tele.

Jeff Stelling to retire from the excellent Soccer Saturday to get people out of the front room and into the stands.

Chairmen to stand on the terraces (metaphor for sitting in the cheap seats before you all start giving it lobsters) with the fans, ingesting at least one pie and one cup of Bovril per game.

Each game to be reviewed by video so diving and cheaters can be punished accordingly.

Goal line technology.

Wags to be employed by the clubs their habs play for in fitting jobs.

Sven sacked within a month or two without another few million quid compensation

Ban clubs from changing all three kits every year - one at a time every other year (well, in the Greedy League anyway)

Keep names on shirts but ban nicknames - Chucho for God's sake! Sounded like a bloody train coming. Chicharito - what's that? A term of affection or a chewy sweet?

Make referees give interviews to justify their questionable decisions

Stop this bloody nonsense about injured players having to go off if the physio is called on - anyone remember Latics defending a corner (can't remember who against) with both CDs (I think one was Haining) on the touchline? And why doesn't it apply to goalkeepers?

Instead of a ref's whistle, sound a hooter for half time / full time / added time linked to an accurate time piece which correctly assesses the stoppages - no more Fergie Time

All good points, but the grinders for my gears are simple;

1) Arsenal to win everything (except for at 3) due to having outrageously talented players like RVP and Cesc.

2) United to be liquidated - literally though. The entire club, including staff and buildings, to be put in a giant blender.

3) Liverpool to win the league once while Torres is there.

4) Gary Neville to be beaten up before 2.

5) Serious bad tackling (like that Stoke vs Fulham debacle) to be punished by instant execution; the method being an ironic "slide-tackled to death" idea. Not sure how many such it would take to kill the average man but it'd hurt.

6) Any manager blaming a referee to be shot by the interviewer.
