  1. Chester away sounds good. I hope the Scotland tour isn't behind closed doors because the rest sounds like the usual :censored:e to me.
  2. It feels low when we have to invite the dregs of Owdum to Boundary Park IE the plassie Mancs. I thought Latics was our only escape from them? However, I do hope we bring back our "lapsed" support and attract the floating voter with good, play-off chasing football.
  3. I think even the price of football has changed a lot in ten years. I can't picture any Oldhamer completely unaffiliated with Latics that would turn up on a Saturday and pay £22 to get into the ground off the back of a few wins. I think the key thing we're missing is the enticement, which is usually an offer game (could be something seasonable, a one off 5er a match) then we pull them in with a decent deal like the Golden ticket the other season. The only difference is that now we're playing better football and on the up.
  4. I started coming back regularly after the £2 game vs Exeter during Dave Penney's reign. I bought a Half-Season ticket shortly after. I know this was possibly the worst season in our last decade (although the x games without a goal in Dickov's first/second? season may have eclipsed it) but the whiff of pies on a Saturday afternoon reminded me I didn't really have owt better to do on a Saturday afternoon.
  5. I imagine there'll be a few spares knocking about when it gets called off and rearranged to a Tuesday night in the middle of March.
  6. This Rochdale talk got me thinking how nice it'd be to renew acquaintances with our Lancastrian comrades. Blackburn/Bolton/Wigan/Burnley/Blackpool sounds fantastic.
  7. Something without that :censored:ing abomination of a badge plastered on it?
  8. Wait, what? Why would the Royal Mail be delivering them if they're in the back of your ST?
  9. Allocated seating causes more bother. How many young pissed up lads would have been happy sitting down all game to suit those behind them?
  10. I'd pay £100k to has his name on a two year contract.... Good bit of business, surely?
  11. Should take loads to Barnsleh an' all? Just not in the same way that we took over Rochdale, I've never seen us lording it over anyone in their own town like that.
  12. The crowd was that raucous I actually feel quite sad because we're unlikely to see a crowd like that travelling like we did again this season. Like post holiday blues. Great support, I'm not sure why some Dale fans are suggesting we should be ashamed.
  13. Don't worry lads. Celebrate. It'll be worth getting dragged out or swarmed by banjo-wielding monobrowed half wits just to see the looks on their faces.
  14. We play the likes of Crawley and Swindon week in and week out and people are feeling a bit "meh" about this one. Supporting this club is like banging your head against a brick wall.
  15. I know plenty of Dale fans and it'd be great lording it up over them for a few weeks. If you're from Ashton and Fitton Hill I can see why you couldn't give a flying fook but us in Sholver as well as the Gawbies of Shaw have Rochdale 01706 dialling codes. We're spitting distance.
  16. I'm sure it was on here I read something about Oldham v Fulham and disgruntled mill working Yonner types throwing stones at the train back to London.
  17. If you're going in the home end, keep yer gob shut here and everywhere else. The dibble, Oldham and Dale will be trawling through these threads. I think it happened with Sheff United once at Rotherham, they were all on about where their tickets were in the home and and they all had their tickets cancelled and it was only open to Rovrum postcodes etc.
  18. I hope there is a bit of handbags in the home end. It'll make us look MASSIVE.
  19. It's free money, innit. The local rags call it Sportsdirect.com Stadium and we still call it Boundary Park and we get a million knicker for it. Nice one.
