Pitch repairs Not necessarily Monies raised will help fund the pitch renovation work at the clubs training grounds which is carried out at the end of the campaign. Dont mean to sound all doom and gloom but this isn't a good sign because if we are going to let any Tom, Dick or Harry play on the pitch it shows there is still a definate intent to be shipping out instead of negotiating to stay a season or so longer. help_shiny Posted March 25, 2011 Share Posted March 25, 2011 When our three saviours bought back the land in 2004 I think there was a covenant in the agreement (or whatever you legal eagles call it) saying that the site had to be used for sport/leisure for 10 years. So while they're banging up the houses over the next few years there will still be a footy pitch there which they hire out on the cheap which keeps them within the limits of the agreement. The fact that there is going to be a football pitch there still next season doesnt mean it's planned to have Latics playing on it. Perhaps.
