It's never too late ?

Steve Whitehall was 32/33 when he signed for us...

Actually, thinking about it, didn't we pay cash for him? £45,000 or something crazy like that?

He was an established league player Crusoe at Rochdale before Latics signed him, I was thinking of older strikers (like Griffiths) with no league experience at all.

Ah, I read about this lad. Apparently Forest were in for him before he ruptured his Achilles, unfortunately looks like he'll be out for months. Cost them £30,000 and looked like a bargain, especially if they could cash in on a Championship move as well. Shame for the lad.

(On another note, boy do I feel old using 'lad' to describe a 27-year-old.)

Another hot shot;

This one's a midfielder 54 goals in 88 games and previously played in the top flight in Hungary so has a decent pedigree.
