doggy_oafc
The feckers put a statistic up today about Premier League teams' records over the festive period. We have the worst. Played three, lost three. To you younger fans..basically we've always been sh1t. Woof.

rudemedic
Beat Forest on 28th December 1991. Two days after 6-3 defeat. That was in the old Division 1 and before Sky had the rights- thereby it doesn't count. We beat Spurs 2-1 in 1992 on Dec 19th in our nearest game to Xmas that year. The 3 defeats all presumably stem from 93-94 which is statistical manipulation at its very best see above.

another fan
Hate being reminded of what "once was" but always remind myself that if nothing else we were founder members of the Premier League

bigfatjoe1
i find the idea that top flight football only started with the PL ridiculous and insulting to football heritage. when Sky ryhme off those PL only stats it totally pisses me off. Also, 'Legue One.'Get real. This is Division Three.
LeylandLatic
Better than league 1 tho eh I'm probably in a minority but I feel the Prem has ruined football in this country and I actually don't want to be a part of it at all. Not only has it wrecked the sport as a competition but also in how it's played. Football has become more and more about 'gamesmanship' and outright cheating over the last decade. The rules have been changed to actually favour those who are trying to cheat, it's pathetic. At least in L1 anyone can win it because the gulf in finances between the teams is in some way comparable. Laticacid
Agree with much of that , but can't argue with some of the quality of football in prem, eg last day of last season, incredible drama and that's why millions love it
