LaticsPete
Sat near the Liverpool fans who were escorted from the Chaddy End - near the stair case to the back right hand side (looking from the pitch). From what I could see was a small number of Liverpool fans who celebrated their team score - but not excessively - and a disporportionate reaction from a group of Oldham fans (who I have not seen there regularly - and I have had a ST there for 20+ years) screaming at them to leave, calling for stewards etc. From what I saw its the Oldham fans that need to hang their heads in shame. Yes, we are supposed to have segregation but also we are all supporters and as long as people don't go overboard we should be able to cope wth a few opp in our stands. Whilst I understand your stance I disagree in the main. Any away supporter who goes in a home end must know he/she is likely to cause potential problems. Who knows if they would have celebrated "excessively" if they'd scored another ? they knew that they were in breach of regulations, knew they'd cause resentment, knew that segregation applies to everybody. And home fans have a reasonable expectation that away fans won't be in designated home areas . You say we should be ok with "a few". How many is that ? 3, 50, 100 , 500 ? The game was a sellout - they'd bought tickets that Oldhamers could have had.
RoytonLatics
We say it was a sell out but there were about 40-50 empty seats around me at the back of the chaddy

tangerinedreams
Looks like same again for everton game. There's already talk on their forum of coming down to BP to get tickets in the home end as they do their allocation on how many aways you've been to ect. ST holders with 7 away stubs get first dibs so I was told by a ST holder last night.

Diego_Sideburns
There was an Everton fan sat in front of me on Sunday. He told me at the start that Latics would win, because Liverpool were ":censored:". He kept turning round and saying "what did I tell you?". I'm looking forward to renewing his acquaintance in the next round.
