NewBlue
There's been a few very debatable red cards, Robbie Simpson v Yeovil, Bouzanis v Donnie and Wes v Scunthorpe spring to mind.
opinions4u
There's been a few very debatable red cards, Robbie Simpson v Yeovil, Bouzanis v Donnie and Wes v Scunthorpe spring to mind. Yet nothing justifying an appeal in any of them.
NewBlue
Yet nothing justifying an appeal in any of them. It's not that they aren't justifiable, we don't really have the money to appeal against petty decisions that are devoid of any common sense by both the perpetrator and the rulers of the game. I would've challenged each of the 3 that I mentioned earlier.
Traffordtic
Yet no point in an appeal in any of them, nothing gets overturned at this level Fify

Simpson appeared to be unlucky. But TV evidence inconclusive.

Simpson appeared to be unlucky. But TV evidence inconclusive. Simpson should never have been sent off. Went for the ball which was there to be won and 1 footed. Wes' looked to have been the guy headbutting or moving towards Wes' leg. Bouzanis; never a sending off. I can understand slapping or headbutting or stamping as a sending off but pushing? How many times have you seen that excused by refs? The players' reaction had him sent off. Stupid at the time but should have been rescinded. Diego_Sideburns
Purely coincidentally, tomorrow's ref comes from Northampton, 20 miles from Milton Keynes.
rudemedic
Purely coincidentally, tomorrow's ref comes from Northampton, 20 miles from Milton Keynes. Northampton folk don't like Milton Keynes folk and especially don't like the football team. It would be like having someone from Merseyside or West Yorkshire reffing us. Could be good news for us but I'll wait until 5pm tomorrow before I judge how good and fair he was as a ref.
disjointed
How many decent refs have we had this season anyway, is it me or does the standard seem to be getting worse. Or is it the FA's directives which make the refs inadequate.?
lancy lad
Purely coincidentally, tomorrow's ref comes from Northampton, 20 miles from Milton Keynes. Bloody hell, anyone remember Roger Dilkes from Mossley? He used to train with us and had a :censored:ing nightmare away at Leeds when called in due to injury. It certainly wasn't a case of helping us out as a local.
oafcforever
Yeh he gave a penalty against us when our keeper handled the ball!!! Used to see him most mornings going into work for Coop in Manchester, just wanted to give him abuse for that Leeds game!!!

rudemedic
Purely coincidentally, tomorrow's ref comes from Northampton, 20 miles from Milton Keynes. Think you were right to be worried he and his other officials were very pro MK Dons; the phrase 9 bob note springs to mind. Not many cards though.
