  1. It's becoming painfully obvious as the weeks go on he's never worked in lower league football, and just expects that by undermining players and getting some new players in it'll all turn around. If any of the new names are anything like Rooney he's in for a massive shock He might even have to do some tactics at some point!!
  2. Just watched his interview and he does just that. Coward. What's he going to do, buy 11 players? I wouldn't mind if he took a tiny bit of responsibility. But he's seemingly happy to keep alienating a squad of players he chose to fucking manage. Nah
  3. Unsworth can get right to fuck if he thinks he can get away with blaming the players again for that. He knew the squad he had, he's had 2 months to work with them, and he's taken them backwards. Yes, they're shit, but the balls on the man disappearing down the tunnel again After changing absolutely fuck all from Tuesday. Would not be arsed if he left tomorrow. Patience. Patience. Patience. I have none left
  4. First time I've seen him play. Admittedly he may be playing out of position slightly but he didn't impressive me at all
  5. Christ I'd completely forgotten Rooney trying to lob the keeper (who was about 5 yards off his line) from 60 yards out at a time we were struggling to put two passes together
  6. Norman is the absolute least of our concerns. Unless Leutwiler has magical powers that will make the rest of the squad suddenly competent.
  7. Agreed. It is an appalling group of players but he chose to take the job and knew the players he'd have at his disposal coming in. It's all well and good saying the players aren't good enough but when you're consistently playing systems and tactics that don't suit the squad you have you have to take your share of the blame That was diabolical all round last night, from players and manager
  8. I certainly won't be, I was only there tonight and ditto Saturday because it's local days out and new grounds. I can't justify giving up my Saturday afternoons for a bunch of clowns who can barely be arsed to give up their own. Big changes are needed or we're sliding into another relegation fight
  9. I'm sick of saying it now but that was as bad as I've ever seen an Oldham team play in 26 years going to games. The squad is absolutely shite and I'll accept that, but what I won't accept is a bunch of absolute cowards who can't be arsed to even do the basics like run about a bit. We're in a cost of living crisis at the moment and yet 1600 people have chosen to give up their hard earned cash to watch that lot, and not a single one of them broke a sweat. Every player looked scared to have the ball, and the tactics?? Fuck me, why sack Sheridan for Sheridan lite? Anything but a win on Saturday and it will he toxic, and if it's anything like tonight its no less than they deserve. Fuck patience
  10. Oldham taking the lead and then sitting back until the inevitable happens? Did not see that coming!
  11. With Rooney playing just off them both. Once Hope is back (which sounds like it could be a while tbf) he's prepared to do plenty of graft, so I'm happy to have someone who can just get themselves in the 18 yard box
  12. Just sounds like he wasn't in Wild's plans and was presumably on a decent wage. Apparently they're just about to sign Lyden too
  13. Cracking signing that, he got 21 goals at this level only a couple of years ago. Hopefully give us a bit of much needed creativity up top
  14. There's people saying Sheridan out because we lost a fucking friendly I hate football fans sometime
  15. It doesn't matter either way. I've seen us go unbeaten in pre-season then finish 17th. For most players with the exception of trialists it's about match fitness and avoiding injury. I'd rather they just played them all behind closed doors so we didn't get the overreactions every season.
  16. Crazy that after all these years people still read into friendlies. They're about fitness, nothing more nothing less.
  17. Maybe they just feel NL is his level now. He's 33 and they're not exactly strapped for cash. Or maybe he wanted a guarantee of regular football at his age
  18. Yeah, it was frustrating how he just couldn't get his head around how to set up at home but we played some brilliant football at times under him. In away games especially if we went one or two down you still felt like we weren't out of the game. Don't get that feeling with Curle at all.
  19. Yeah not sure there's a "probably" about it in hindsight
  20. Surprised Palmer has never really kicked on, he was outstanding for us. I'd still take him back in a heartbeat. And probably Missilou too tbf
