  1. What a pathetic take. There will be a limit to what we can spend. I'd rather we spent it on some star dust as we have plenty of good lads who'll graft. Light on that star or two to turn a game from what I've seen so far.
  2. Doesn't need a transfer fee spending on it. One or two actual right backs on a free would be fine. There will be dozens good enough out there.
  3. Not sure on paying a fee for a right back. It's the position of the talentless. Plenty of right backs out there for free. I'd rather we spent all our tranfers fees on a centre back or top left winger.
  4. One would then suggest they can't afford an ST and should save their money
  5. Many seem to think the contracts aren't done yet for last season, not sure myself when they usually end. Not sure why no announcement. Maybe both are hoping the other will say sorry 1st. It could also be there is a cut off for the option? If that's 30th June for example he can't go elsewhere until then. If he's pissed the club off enough they may be happy saying nowt as he's in no mans land. Not asked and won't be doing.
  6. The club went half way to his demands so they weren't not trying to sort him a decent rise in wages.
  7. To be clear with the information. Yarney signed a deal until the end of 22/23 with the club having the option to extend until the end of 23/24. All clubs do these, United have the clause in almost all their deals for example. The negotiations the club entered were for a better wage and a longer contract due to his decent showing. The club could have just taken up the option and have him on the same wages. The fact the talks have gone so badly says a lot about Yarney IMO and may explain his shit show of a career. He was happy with the wages in the deal in February and was then demanding stupid money a matter of a few months later. The club don't want him, even on last years wages is what I am being told.
  8. His agent sounds like he's been pulling something for sure. Signed his side when he extended the contract until the end of last season.
  9. To be fair no one saw the club pulling his option. Yarney is / was tied into it already.
  10. Need to get another centre half in and they seem confident they will. Right back is still the number one gap we have. We can't rely on Sutton / Sheron / Shelton as 1st choice. Add one each of the above at a quality better than we have now and we won't NEED anything else.
  11. No. He agreed a deal. It had an option for next season, an option the club could implement. He played really well. Got all the awards. Club, rightly agreed to look at an improved deal. Talks went that badly that the club aren't implementing the option. He was happy with the wages in February and then asking for the earth in April / May.
  12. It's not speculation. He's (his agent) pissed the club off so much the option the club had for next season is not being taken up.
  13. Yarney agreed to stay, we had the option to take up that year. We aren't doing.
  14. The club believe they've identified a few better options.
  15. The club had an option for next season. If that isn't taken up, then essentially he's been released.
  16. Been used in the past. Last one was a cracker albeit a Torex one.
  17. New kit is blue, red collar, bit of tangerine detailing as well. Away is burgundy. Staff who designed it with Puma very excited about it. Suppose they will be given it's their 1st time doing it.
  18. Our current owner wanted a plastic pitch but was over ruled. A standing terrace wouldn't be as big an issue as that.
