Does this mean that Brassbank have named a price? I don't expect the price to be shared at this point but it would be good to know that they have named one, otherwise it could be pure bluster. 2. Assuming the price or approximate price is known, how serious is this fan led group? Is there a significant proportion of the price already pledged or is it currently looking for a/the major backer.

So presumably the press conference at 2pm is actually just the usual conference that takes place the day before a match. That makes more sense.

Do we know whether we can watch this press conference? I am guessing that SSN will be there but won’t show the whole thing. Salford’s Beckham announcement was live on YouTube. Is there any of that going on? It’s a bit strange that we haven’t even acknowledged that it is happening yet but I guess that is par for the course. We shouldn’t expect to be kept informed.

So this weekend it is quite possible that we will finally appoint Paul Scholes as manager and on Monday Simon Blitz and Danny Gazal happen to be in Oldham. I have no idea what this means but it seems to be a massive coincidence.

Very strange all round today. Completely true that an open terrace isn't convivial to an atmosphere but the fans just didn't seem to be up for it. It wasn't as if we were singing with it not travelling, there was very little singing in the first place. The performance from the team was a continuation of what we saw in the 1st half last week. We were dreadful from as soon as the penalty went in. Couldn't find a man and were not pressing in the way that we had done recently. And you are not wring about Bury

What’s the deal with the cup? Sorry if this is a daft question, this is my first season. It says starts in Jan but we only have MK Franchise scum left as a league game in January after tomorrow. Do I need to do anything different or is it just that your league prediction in a week also gets used as a cup prediction? Apologies if this has already been explained and I have missed it. I need a cup to concentrate on to justify my poor league form. The shame of being almost 40 points behind Maddog is just too much to take.

Many thanks to everyone who has booked on the boat. We are now completely full so it should be a great day. A couple of housekeeping points: 1. We have been told that they have a strict policy that only booze purchased on board can be consumed onboard 2. This is a boat on the Thames. I know it goes without saying but absolutely no pyro please. Other than that, I hope you all have a fantastic day. If you want to put flags up that shouldn’t be a problem and the bar will be open as soon as we depart the pier. We need to leave Tower Pier at 12.00 sharp so please ensure you are there in plenty of time. If you are on a train into Euston, the nearest underground to the pier is Tower Hill which you can get to direct from Euston Sq on the circle line. Alternatively, if you get the Northern Line from Euston to Bank/Monument it should only be a 15 minute walk from there. For those of you getting there early there is the Liberty Bounds Wetherspoons and an All Bar One on Byward St which are open from 8am and 9am respectively. Both are only a 5 minute walk away from the pier. See you on Sunday

To be honest he probably does need to just appoint his own man. It might go totally tits up but at least he'll know then that it isn't the solution. I suspect that he has wanted to bring in someone he knows the last two times (because he was effectively in control when Wellens got it) but decided to placate the fans. If they weren't the people he wanted then it becomes easy for him to get frustrated and bin them off. The only way to move forward in the long term might be for him to bring in someone he completely trusts. You never know, it might even work out.

Getting away from the gloom for a few minutes... As many of you will be aware, we have organised a boat from Tower Bridge to Fulham for the cup game. It's £15 each and there will be a DJ and bar on board. We leave Tower Bridge at noon and will be at Putney for 1pm. You can board the boat from 11.45 but I believe they can't start serving until we leave. There should be plenty of time to make it if you are on the 8.05 or 8.20 train from Piccadilly. Dave Thomas is doing the organising and his details can be found on the link if you have Facebook. If not, he will try to respond to people on this thread. It should be a great way to get to the game and we'll make sure the DJ knows what's required to get us in the mood.

Only one person across all leagues had us to lose... against a team above us... at Christmas!!! There is a lot to be said for a feel good factor . On the bright side I have broken my 1st goalscorer duck. There is no stopping me now.

Rochdale had a 5th round replay at Wembley last season. I don’t know how many more examples there are but that alone shows the type of trip and money-spinner that is potentially being taken away.
