Came across this one recently La-a
(Ladasha)
Funnily enough, I've dealt with a La-a in a previous job, can't be many of them around?
Tilesmach dekarpet was a personal favourite.

Completely random one... but listening to Brooke Vincent talking on the radio the last few journeys home.... I never knew former loanee Kean Bryan's first name was pronounced Kee-ann (as in Leanne)...
Told you it was a random one.

I'm presuming he feels they may be swaying towards a new man given him going all in during the post match interview yesterday, if it was Mellon, Clarke or Williamson I'd still favour one of those three. If it was Clemence or someone else wanting their first go at it I'd be disappointed. He's done himself no harm but if he continues to keep selecting Shelton and Nuttall I'd begin to get worried.
Agree with this.
Pedigree as a preference but if it's anyone that's new to management then Thompson til the end of the season then reassess.

I wonder if we’ll be having another go at bringing in Ogle the right back now Scunthorpe are seemingly in the shit.
Jordan Cropper who we were also linked with is still without a club.Have you seen some of the shit going on there... Fighting over who owns what, banning orders left right and centre, protests (all sounds a bit familiar) and leaked text messages from the owner with derogatory comments on the fans and basically saying he'll take the club under!

What's the deal with Harry Vaughan this season? Has he been suffering with injuries?
Out of 8 games, he's:
Started 1
Come off the bench late on in 2
An unused in 2
Not been in the squad for 3.

Already posted I think but Redfearn has been championing Thompson on twitter...

Cheltenham looking for a new manager.... some selected odds from their betting market:
Graham Coughlan (Newport) & Steve Cotterill 5/4 jf
Stephen Clemence 6/1
Darrell Clarke & Danny Cowley 14/1
Pete Wild, Mike Williamson & Micky Mellon all 25/1
-
"The club can confirm that Steve Thompson will take interim charge of first-team matters while a recruitment process is conducted."
Would have thought any "recruitment process" would take longer than a couple of days? I'd be surprised if they already had someone lined up already (which, if Clemence, must surely have already been in place?) the way Frank had been so defensive of Unsworth.

Keith Curle 20/1
I think we should all stick a couple of quid on so he drops to favourite... just to shit @Lee Sinnott up.

It's got to be a rare thing for 3 no brainer appointments - Clarke, Mellon and Cowley - who've all been promoted from this league and/or the one above in the recent past to all be available.
3 options where, whilst it's never guaranteed, it would be highly unlikely that they'd fail.
I hope the board don't over complicate it.
Thats about where I'm at with it.
When Mellon was mentioned yesterday I was a bit "meh" but I'd put him in a similar category as Wrexham's Phill Parkinson in that I'd personally class him/them as a bit 'unfashionable' but would probably get the results required.
If I had to pick one of the 3 I'd got for Clarke but I'd be happy with any of them.

He might end up there then, when his legs have gone
If it was me, I think I'd rather stay at Everton

Shall we expect Tarky to rock up in a season or two then?
He's a massive red.

Probably his biggest achievement would be getting a tune, in fact a fanfare out of Ben Garrity.
If he can do that, he might be able to turn Shelton into the box-to-box midfielder Hartlepool fans said he was.
Bring him in!

Why on earth Peter Clarke?
Why on earth Frankie Bunn?

Watch him post match after the game against us, highlighted their weakness that day said they would go away and work on it and won 6-0 the week after.
He's an unassuming guy working on a bottom six budget punching way above their weight, they also play some of the best football I've seen over the 4 games we've played them at this level with a limited squad.
The only caveat I'd add to Williamson, is that he's in his 5th (I think) season with them and I don't realistically think he'd be able to come here and have us playing like Gateshead straight away.
Whoever came in* would have to hit the ground running or I'd imagine the toxicity would turn towards the board.
* still don't think Unsworth's going anywhere yet anyway.

I bet Buxton are fuming.
2-1 up in 96th min with 4 injury time minutes left to play, and they are making them play the full match again.

I thought there was some form of loan (correct me on the right term) to the tune of about £5mil made available? Obviously that was for all sorts including infrastructure etc. and we've recently announced plans to completely renovate little wembley and work already underway to upgrade chapel lane.
I'm not having it that we can't afford to sack him, not a chance.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone be a genuine Unsworth inner by which I mean saying that he's definitely the man for the job. Many, including me, have wanted a manager to be given a proper run for a decent amount of time for the first time in over a decade and were therefore prepared to be patient. I'm not changing that on the basis of one game that I didn't watch but it's very hard to put up any sort of positive side to a debate now.
I wish words like 'fraud' and 'imposter' could disappear though. They're just not right. I'm as sure as anyone can be that he's not turned up knowing he wasn't up to it but spotting an opportunity to grab some cash, which is what they imply.
Couldn't have put it better.
I really wanted it to work out for Us and Unsworth. I'm probably one of the minority that thinks he comes across really well in everything other than his post match interviews, and by all accounts he's a really nice bloke.
I was all for giving him 'til October/November but I certainly didn't expect us to sit one point outside the relegation places with only 1 win from our opening 8.
Thanks for trying David, but I think it's time to go.

Lee Johnson confirmed the new Fleetwood manager.
There were quite a few articles the other day suggesting they were going for Pete Wild...
The source must have heard "ex Oldham manager" and thought of the wrong one.

Thought we were ok overall.
Should have managed the game better though, and I agree with the above, bringing Nuttall on exposed Sutton, although what he was doing dropping off so deep on his own for their second?
The referee's are absolutely atrocious in this league, I thought they were bad in the EFL but fuck me, so bad down here.
Unsworth looked proper deflated towards the end.

That's disgusting, he didn't even touch him
