Can only hope he's a reformed character... :

Tunnicliffe was given a two-match ban for the start of the 2015–16 season, a £5,000 fine and ordered to take an educational course after calling Middlesbrough's Patrick Bamford a "sausage boy" over Twitte

He's also been done for smashing his range rover into a van pissed up years back.

Couple of my relatives grew up with him. Apparently had all the talent in the world but had too much too young and was a became a bit of a dick with it.

Interesting that Paddy says the original source is Brad Knowles and he's just tweeted a free agent list with Ryan Tunnicliffe on it...

It’s as simple as this… they gave him time after a poor start and over the 2nd half of the season we were the 3rd best team in the league. They weren’t going to sack him after that.

Since then they’ve improved (but not completed) the squad and we’ve had 1 match this season. 1 match.

There is no way on earth that the club will be happy to sit in mid table for years on end just because the CEO and first team manager get on.

    Bang on

I would love an explanation as to why Sutton was played right wing back. If the response is Green was meant to play that position. Than even more of a fool.

A few of us called Unsworth out on this in pre-season when he said he was happy with Sutton there and got shot down on here...

Sutton never is/was/will be a right back in any form. A decent centre half maybe, but never in a million years is he a right back.

Sounds like we have one lined up now but why it wasn't sorted weeks ago is beyond me.

  4. Sounds like the Tom Brady consortium were in talks to buy Rochdale before they went cold on it and opted for Birmingham.

Getting a bit messy over there by the sounds of it, don't think their fans forum went too well tonight and their board are saying they need a loan that will be secured against the stadium to get by.

Chris, I think Ackey answers the point eloquently..... and is what we were trying to discuss. He can't expect patience in a state of perpetuity.... but it would be bloody handy if folk didn't instantly jump on his back if we aren't playing like Brazil from the off..... some people are itching to say 'I told you so' if we aren't instantly in a two horse race with Chesterfield for the title..... for me (Andy) Top 7 is a minimum requirement, or questions - quite rightly - will be asked.....

Pisses me off that some think we have a god given right to play like prime Brazil.

We've been shit for 20 years, but cos it's not Shez or Ritchie, then Unsworth (or whoever it is) gets a load of grief, simply because their face doesn't fit.

Agree that Top 7 is a minimum, and would show progress (progress we were already starting to see back end of last season) and by Unsworth's own admissions, it's something he should really be achieving.
