    When my wife logged on this morning, her profile had been reset to default, she lost everything off her desktop, including all her settings. On checking the kids profiles as well they were the same, all reset. My profile was fine with everything still there. I went into each profile and restored all desktop wallpapers, settings, files etc, but when you log out it loses everything and resets to default? help please as the kids are not happy!

    There are only 4 Assistants, and it IS being trialled at the moment (i'll have a search and find out where), Nothing much will change, the two assistants on the touchlines will not change their responsibility, the two assistants on the goal line will monitor ball crossing the line, ball in/out of play on the side opposite the touch line assistant, and any other infringments in and around HIS side of the the box. I think its a good idea and i cannot see why it wouldn't work.

    No you would only need one at each end, on the side opposite to the other Assistant.

    I know they have already trialled the microchip in the ball idea, and although very clever, it was dumped because it wasn't reliable because the chip kept getting dislodged/broken. Unfortunatley thats what happens with technology, it breaks when you least expect it to.

    Thats exactly whats being trialed at the moment mate, and i think its a very good idea.

    The trial of the two extra assistants isn't just to do with the goalmouth. Its an extra pair of eyes around the box, its someone there on the opposite side of the goal to the linesman, for more accurate ball in/out of play and a host of other things. There will never be video evidence used by another official during the match. The point about refereeing is that its an 'opinion', and to throw someone elses opinion into a decision will not make it right.

    I voted no, well no at the moment anyway. I'm in favour of the trial of the extra two Assistants, one on each goal line. FIFA should give this some serious time, before even thinking about 'technology'.
