  1. That was a great (if abit long) post! That was the year i was born (89) and by that time my dad had left the latics to become a liverpool fan (don't ask why because i don't know) but i know he sometimes went back to BP games but my mum wouldn't let him take me. Luckily when i started supporting latics a few years back he got hold of a vhs tape of the 89-90 season for me.every match, every goal. It makes good viewing!
  2. eeuuurrghh why do i have to wear this ghastly bib. It's just soooo last season. Is there nothing in a pink or avacado??
  3. The Chelts fans really do seem to rekon he was the only spark of life they had. It's like idol worship on their forum. I feel sorry for um but hey its great news for us
  4. I'm excited! I'm 19 and i don't remember Joe's first reign at BP at all. The reason i'm excited is because people who i know who normally show indifference to most things are suddenley like excited kids. The buzz that's going around at the moment is incredible, i'm used to everyone being disgruntled or generally unbothered about whats going on at the club so for the majority of people to be this excited is great! I think it's different for the young ones because we know Oldham as a low league club and we love the club anyway. Must be very frustrating fo the older generation who remember the glory days
  5. "Oldham's hierarchy, who axed John Sheridan 24 hours after the morale-sapping 6-2 defeat at MK Dons and immediately hired the man the fans call the Messiah" They make us sound like newcastle fans. (if you ignore the calling us oldham bit)
  6. I've gone for narrow win. I think Joe will need this first game to get the team sorted and the more convincing wins will start with Cheltenham!
  7. I'm going to try and extend my over draft so i can come home from uni to go the match. I went to evry home game bar one last year, and quite a few away games. but with being at uni this year its been hard money wise to get to games (29 quid is 3 weeks shoppin to me) but theres no way im missing saturday!

  9. Within ten minutes of the announcement his wiki had been updated haha. Its great to have this good feeling back in the club. I'm too young to remember his last reign here and im a new latics fan (i say new this is my 4th season) so all the hype is given me loads of confidence about him! Obviously i know everything he did for the club and why he's a legen and i hope he'l take us to wembely and thurther!
  10. can i listen to that online? I'd be grateful for the link if you could
  11. Think it was probabley right to do it now. Thanks to shez and good luck to him. Lets hope his replacement comes quickly.
  12. It's sad that i've said it myself but i regret it less each game. Shez will always be important to the fans for the guy he is but as a manager we've given him 3 seasons and put our faith in him and unfortunatley he hasn't been able to meet our expectations. Maybe they are too high but i for one don't think they are. I think he should be allowed to finishh the season and then for a decision to be made in the summer.
  13. We were just a question on fighting talk. Whats the worst PR incident in football.
  14. haha that's hilarious. SC ripped him to pieces ther He must know nothing about football fans. The majority of fools in this town are supporting red scum or city. Us tics are a different (and better) breed!
  15. If he carrys on playing the way he has then Shez will have to keep him in surley? 100% Greg!
  16. I can't believe this topic has had this much discussion
  17. Dads with little girl in garden asking questions on wildlife when she asks 'is that a mummy longlegs under daddy longlegs?' dad says 'no sweety there is no mummy longlegs' dad feels very proud of her inquisitive mind untill she stamps on them both and says 'we'll have none of that gay :censored: in my garden!' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two blokes are sat in a pub talking and one says to the other 'i was walking near the railway tracks the other day when i saw a girl tied up on them, so i went over and untied her. We ended up having sex for hours in every position imaginable! It was amazing!' His freind cant believe it and says 'did she give you a blow job as well??' 'No' he replies, ' I couldn't find her head'. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What's the difference between Madaline Mcann and Madaline Mcann jokes??? The jokes will get old.
  18. I've only heard a couple of tracks off 'Age of Nero' but they were good. By all accounts it's better than 'Now, Diabolical' and that was a good album so i'll probabley buy it. There's a band from Manchester called 'Winterfylleth' who have released their debut this year and for a first go it's really good. If you like the more rock type stuff like Satyricon's latest albums i'd recommend Darkthrone's last three albums 'The Cult is Alive' 'F.O.A.D' 'Dark Thrones and Black Flags'. very rocky/punky but keeping the black metal feel. Keeping in the vein of that punky sounding black metal you might like Carpathian Forest, their last album was ':censored: you all' and its quite good. If you want something abit different check out 'Helheim' who are one of my favourite bands at the moment. Their last two albums, 'The Journey's and Expiriences of Death' and 'Kaoskult' are brilliant. They all have myspace pages so you can check them out easily enough. If you're not into the norweigen thing as muc Cradle of Filth have a new album either out or on the way called 'Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder' which is supposed to be their best for a while but i'm not really a fan so i couldn't pass comment on it myself. As for nalpalm death, i saw them play at Bloodstock in August and to be honest i've never been a fan of grindcore but i thought they were really good and i was suprised how much i liked the performance. I bought Emperor's 'In the nightshade eclipse' last week an it's a great album. Oh and if you like thrash check out Evile and their debut album 'Enter the Grave'. Althought they are from Huddersfield i can't say enough good things about that band and they are great live.
