  1. Thanks for that - think that's his first TV interview since he joined? Never really watched that show, the female presenter looks reason enough though!
  2. Keane is scum, always thought so. Hope he gets sacked and loses all his money.
  3. Totally agree. it's just an excuse of his not to not shell out. If it helps the team then i'm all for it, the fact that he's at the back is a demonstration of compromise to keep the moaners happy!
  4. how about adams (poss norwich?) bunny and henry (nicky not thierry!)
  5. Apart from a big name signing, we need three things: Better food (more variety) Beer everywhere (like the barrels someone mentioned) Big screens throughout to catch re-plays and keep in touch with other scores whilst the games on. Plus a big free PR event to launch it all - we're different type of supporters than 20 years ago, we need technology and entertainment just to satisfy basic needs!
  6. My first game in the lookers was the 3 - 0 hammering of Walsall on their first season up in the old Division 2 on 05-11-1988. I was in the paddock and remember the away fans next to us on the left hand side (as you're looking out. There were massive F**koff barriers all around us, both next to us and in front of the pitch and we'd jump all over them as kids! I sat up the in seats at the very back for about 10 years after that before moving to London then coming back and re-claiming my place at the back as a season ticket holder for the last 2 years with my nephew. Great memories of being in there, some of the best being the penalty to get promotion, the nicky henry goal against Arsenal to make it 3-1 and andy ritchies goal against scarborough to make it 7! and more recently spanking forest 5 nil. If you listen carefully to the old matches, you'll hear a kid shouting all the way through...that was me! When it was on the TV at the time after the game, I couldn't believe it was me cos i was convinced my voice was deeper! ha ha! Great view from there, will miss it but enjoy the chaddy for a couple of years!
  7. They signed an agreement saying they wouldn't appeal - for appealing they should be docked further points....how nice would it be if they were 6th and we were 7th and a further points reduction saw us leapfrog and leave the dirty Leeds behind!
  8. he seems like a really decent bloke, try and keep him at all costs! Taylor obviously thinks so too, he was trying to get the fans in lookers behind him after the goal.
  9. How long was he at Barnsley? Took him a while but he got there in the end if I remember rightly?
  10. Naa, I like stam, makes some mistakes but generally solid - when he came back earlier in the season we started winning (away anyway!)
  11. This is superb, us mac users can't get latics world and despite me writing to them dozens of times asking for a workaround the only option is shelling out good money on parallels and a copy of crappy windows. I want to give them my money and take advantage of latics world but they keep turning me away!
  12. Has to be Keane, dirty and an absolute too. I saw him for the first time against Latics years back when he was more of a dirty red rookie and even then he was getting away with backing in, pulling shirts, flying 2 footed tackles and generally being a tw*t on the pitch. I've hated him ever since and still do despite his seemingly more demure attitude to life. Can you tell that game made an impression on me??
  13. I Went for playoffs - remember balckpool last year, mid table for a lot of it then had a great run and went up! i've got to be an optimist! We did very well against Carlisle and Jarret looked good. Didn't make it away at the weekend but again by all accounts we did well. Lomax is decent but I still think we're missing a left back but have more options now elsewhere. Fingers crossed crossley stays fit now with poggs out but with a few wins we could be up there...
  14. I wan't him to stay put but he may go in the summer and you have to understand the position the club is in: if we can strike a deal for trotters whereby we get a wad and possibly some loan deals or someone coming the other way, we then have 3 other options to partner stammy at CB, albeit 2 are crocked but can't be far off returning!? That's loads of central defenders and what chance do we have of selling gregan or thompson?
  15. Ive gotta go with the romance - it'll be a full house so a VERY different atmosphere to normal home games. if we can get the support going like we did at everton i reckon we'll roll em over - 2 or 3 nill, they might sneak one on 85 minutes.....
  16. I'm hoping and thinking that the game on Saturday will be a great forum for him, and all the other players, to get some positive home support for once. I get frustrated as any fan would, but I just hope we all get behind the team and in particular Davies! He's got bags of talent and can score some beauties, unlucky tonight by all accounts. Lets a have a goal off him like he scored against us for Wolves!
  17. not all that sure about this, seems a bit bizarre - don't like giving latics players stick and genuinely wanted him to succeed and prove everyone wrong! do you remember the first game at home, everyone chanting for him - would've been nice to see a reaction for that! Saw him pre-season and he looked sharp and quick - he showed a bit of that in the NH game and looked like he was improving - will be good to see hughes in and scoring but ricketts shouldve surely been spurred on to keep his place given the hughes return. Would've liked to be a fly on the wall in the ricketts / shez conversation - who wanted the move etc!
  18. Saw the macc game preseason and he looked ace! really sharp and bloody quick! I hope he does better and scores more, he's looking better in the last couple of games but I agree he looked knackered tonight!
  19. >Name? Dan Sinclair >Location? Live in Mossley at the moment but moving south manchester soon.. >How Long Supporting the Tics? oooohhh, a long time - about 23 years really. My first game was a home game against Walsall in the 80's - we won 3 - 1 and I was on the terraces! >Best away match you've been to? A choice of 2: Huddersfield was fantastic last year when we took 3000 and stuffed em, but just notching it would be the Littlewoods cup final, even though we got beat it was a great day! >All Time Greatest Player? I was always a big fan of Andy Rhodes - what a keeper! >Biggest Rivals (in your eyes)? After watching any team play us I instantly hate them but really it's got to be United. Really not keen on Swansea either though and still have something bitter inside for Forest! Cheers, Dan
