  1. I've flown on a flight with the entire Latics team
  2. That's a good one - I'm surprised that no-one has come up with that before now.
  3. Et cetera, Et Cetera, Et Cetera, Et Cetera........
  4. I spotted that last night - they must have been up all night thinking up that name!
  5. I hadn't heard that story. The rumour I heard about the son of Satan is completely different, but no less libelous.
  6. Either I'm being a bit dim and haven't spotted the play on words or it's been changed. My guess is that the word 'smashed' has been used in the headline in place of 'hit'
  7. Set up nicely for my trip to Villa Park on Tuesday - should be a good night.
  8. Have you not got a bus to catch?
  9. Have you tried them Bob? They aren't as nice as you'd think. I saw in Tesco some Marmite flavour bitesize cheese - you get a few in a net bag a bit like Babybel - a' loveliness of cheeses', as I'm sure Leeslover would describe it.
  10. Unfortunately I'll be pissed but away from my PC tonight. I look forward to reading a PM tomorrow morning though.
  11. I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave a few moments ago.
  12. There are two types of people when it comes to Marmite, those that like it and those that have only ever tried it spread too thickly. Spread thick it's nasty, spread thinly over butter and it's delicious. Trust me, all you Marmite haters, spread it thinly and you'll never look back.
  13. Whilst working in the University College Salford Student Union I served Rick Holden and Steve McDonald from Coronation Street (they weren't together) Whilst working for Wetherspoons in Bognor Regis I served Tim Vincent and Chesney Hawkes (they weren't together) Whilst working in Wetherspoons in Rugeley I refused to serve a stag party and asked them to leave for being rowdy. The stag party included Darren Ferguson.
  14. Nothing ever came of that Polish lad we were supposed to be after - Jarko Sweetleftfootovic I think he was called. Perhaps we have renewed our interest.
  15. Of course. That thought has crossed my mind when I've been in the wrong end. However, I would have expected a similar reaction to that which I have witnessed many times. What happened on Friday was not in my experience the typical reaction to opposition fans in your end. Have you seen anything like that before? It could have been that the reaction of Stockport's stewards was much slower than the reaction of stewards on the other occasions which allowed it to become such a sustained attack. I've forgotten myself when in the wrong end on two occasions and cheered a goal. One was at Old Trafford and it was probably only the fact that it was disallowed that saved me from harm - I think the Mancs jeering was worse than being attacked! The other was at St James' Park when no away fans were allowed - no reaction at all from the Geordies to my cheers, although I sat down and shut up pretty quickly when I realised what I'd done!
  16. If I was going into the home end thinking "What's the worst that will happen?" my imagination would have stopped well short of what actually occurred. Over the course of 28 years watching football I've seen fans in the 'wrong' end on dozens of occasions, and I've seen trouble erupt on quite a few of them. I've never before seen such a sustained attack by such a large number of fans. At the semi final at Maine Road there was plenty of trouble due to Mancs in our end, but it was a series of isolated scuffles.
  17. Whether the decision was down to the police or Stockport County it was the wrong decision. That's not a case of speaking with hindsight. It was obvious from the day the allocation was announced that there would be fans in the home end and as such I wasn't surprised that there was trouble when we scored. I was surprised, however at the extremity of the reaction from the County fans, and the number of fans who got involved.
  18. Me too! (I don't mean that you've met me, too. I mean that I've met them as well.)
  19. Paul Weller, Pete Townshend, Ray Davies, Bobby Charlton, Eric Morecambe, Brian Clough and Peter Taylor, Kevin Keegan.
