  1. I'd not be averse to seeing a change to 4-3-3. We need to find a different way to play to break down sides at the bottom of the division at home.
  2. Think was around 1500. I agree the novelty has gone but we're also on a promotion push.
  3. Tickets in the home end are on sale for this. They've blocked off the same areas behind the goal and on the side as last year so assume we'll have the same allocation - which won't be enough and will lead to exactly the same issues with away fans in the home end as last season.
  4. I thought it was interesting the difference between how Kitch and Sachdev operate as wing backs. Kitch is of course keen to get forward but generally does so driving with the ball or on the overlap. Sachdev at times popped up almost as an auxiliary striker, a bit like Cameron did at Notts County last season.
  5. It didn't matter Sheron didn't score. Nailing that ref from point blank was worth a hundred goals.
  6. My reading of it too. Seems odd to say it failed this morning and then we've requested a re-inspection at a time well after when they would have set off (if they haven't travelled today). Can only assume Eastleigh proposed postponement but we want to give it every chance given the forecast.
  7. By my reckoning since we came down we've had games against BW moved five times. The away game last season was postponed because of the Queen, and then moved because BW complained about fixture congestion. This game was frozen off, moved because BW were whinging about fixture congestion again, and then frozen off again. Must be very frustrating for both their fans.
  8. They look shit. Into them and 6 goal win please.
  9. OK, but they're all still goals from Kitching crosses which is what he asked.
  10. Gateshead 4 down before half time in their game in hand.
  11. I think 7 - Reid at Kidderminster Reid v Maidenhead Green at Dale Reid v Eastleigh Fondop v Mickleover Stones v Hartlepool Fondop v Hartlepool 7 assists from a defender by early January. Not good enough!!!!!!!
  12. Of course. I didn't say all the takes on here were strange...
  13. There are some remarkable takes on here. I saw it said a few years ago but most Latics fans don't know what a promotion team looks like. I count myself in that. We've not seen one play for more than twice a season for 33 years. We've not seen a non-title winning promotion team play for more than twice a season for over fifty years. How many times over the years have we seen teams who were shit when we played them go up? Plenty. We're not going to win or even play convincingly every week. We may (and do) get dicked from time to time. The fact we pick up points in games we play well in and games we don't is a good thing. Just enjoy it ffs. We've waited long enough.
  14. On the subject of central midfielders who came onto the pitch and played well - Dan Ward.
  15. wHY iS JaMEs nOrw00D immune FROM crItIciSM juST cOs we WON 4-0?!!!! Sorry just thought I'd get it in early.
  16. Rochdale play Halifax so we'd need them to draw and us to batter Gateshead. No more getting ahead of myself, undoubted talent in this side but they have consistently failed to deliver whenever we engineer a decent position for ourselves. Hopefully this is the time it changes because if this is finally the year we have a good Christmas...
  17. He's scored 7 in 69 Latics appearances, the first 20 or so of which must have been at CB or RB. By comparison, Richie Wellens scored 8 in 101 Latics appearances.
  18. Assuming the score updates are wrong because I read this board at half time so I know Micky doesn't have a clue.
  19. Yes but they could have had a pie whilst sitting on torn cushioned seats in the Main Stand, whilst a Senior Oldham Athletic Official nailed advertising hoardings along the windows in the North Stand to prevent the Rebel Alliance from watching. Ah, memories.
  20. Call it off 'early' - get pelters. Call it off 'late' - get pelters.
  21. Yep. Maybe they could demolish the Main Stand or move the sun?
  22. Ebbsfleet was extremely poor and we fell to bits in the last ten minutes. Maidenhead and Dagenham were equally bad without the last ten minute collapse. However both games we could have just as easily been pasted. We were on a downward trajectory under ST and NR. I don't think anybody could have complained had we lost both of those home games comfortably. I wasn't at the Wealdstone or Kidderminster games but from reports/highlights the same applied to those. I don't think Mellon has been lucky/unlucky in any of this results - in all games the outcome was what the performances warranted. That was not the case under ST/NR and it is likely their luck would have run out (because it always does).
