We could have just as easily been thumped by Maidenhead and Dagenham as we were by Ebbsfleet. Performances under Thommo evidenced a gradual decline. Despite us hitting those depths (or lower) under Mellon, we've also had games which have shown incremental or marked improvements. Under Thommo it was all going in the wrong direction.

I'd find it incredible if people were castigating Sutton, he's doing his best in a position he shouldn't be playing. It's absolutely ludicrous that he's still playing it though, it's been nearly a year and the problem should have been fixed by the club. If Freeman isn't in the answer for whatever reason, another one needs to be found. Sutton can be judged as a CB, a position where he has generally always impressed.

Ah great. Glad they're friends again after all that destroying our club malarkey.

It's a shame Altrincham is so far away, otherwise someone from the club could have just gone and got them.

Norwood at current rate would score 16 league goals this season (rounded up). By my reckoning that would be more than any Latics player since we were promoted to the top flight except for Hughes, Beckett and Porter. That doesn't detract from the fact we should be getting more out of him, but it does feel there's a bit of hyperbole about at the moment.

Given the clear fuck up on how tickets were sold, it's disappointing that this is the club's first word on the issue apart from announcing there'd be no more tickets. Not to say it's not warranted in and of itself but I am surprised there's been no apology or commitment to reviewing away ticket selling practices in the meantime. Instead we're a week away from another local game with no news whatsoever about the mechanics of ticket sales. I do hope OASF are raising this with the club. It's surely within the club's gift to ask to manage the ticketing, even where the home club usually do it themselves. Imagine the carnage if there's something on the Oxford City game and the 400 tickets are chucked up as a free for all.

Given there is an option on the Fylde website to collect tickets, you'd assume it was also possible for the club to ask Fylde to make it paper only and deal with the sales themselves. Club is streaks ahead of where it was pre takeover, they've handled these away ticket issues in uncharacteristically poor fashion. Hopefully lessons learned as if we keep playing as we are then these issues will repeat.

They put tickets on sale during the working day and they sold out in 4 hours. It's not simply a case of having access to the internet.
