Why is it a common thing that website designs are usually worse off when redone? Stupid massive banner you have to scroll past and now does not have the scores on the first page anymore...

Do you not think the boxes are in a shiny and new modern stand whereas previously it was well, a portacabin? Thats pretty concerning, as I alluded to in the other topic I'm seriously questioning the matchday facilities for the normal ticket holders...I just wonder if they have room to put another food kiosk in outside the stand.

Would Rochdale on a Tuesday night really be that bad? Going to have to have some Tuesday night away games and with it being such a northern league next year its inevitable one of them will be a local game so it might as well be the one that takes half an hour to get to.

Plenty of cricket for me. I like the breaks, they are usually welcome otherwise I'd just get sick of non-stop football. That said, I'm fair more excited for the world up than the start of the season in August right now and its not for England specifically, any moron would be able to appreciate getting out of the group would be a good return.

I enjoyed the trip to Crewe earlier this year with. County is always a quality trip to as Nottingham is a great place to visit (hooters!) and have a soft spot for Tranmere so I'm praying for wins for all 3 and a 17 goal swing somewhere... On the flip side, isn't it a good feeling to see this relegation battle and not have our own survival at stake considering where we were at the earlier stage this season?

While I'm naturally happy we will not be going down, next season will be our 18th in this season. Think about that for a second, someone can be born and become legal drinking age in that time. Says a hell of a lot for our consistency though.

It won't be though. The club will have an extra stand to be open so the discussion of what opens on a normal matchday comes up. Wouldn't be surprised to see the RRE go back to being away fans only in all honesty...

At least Oldham fans have chance to sit in the RRE at all nowadays. It beats when it used to be away fans only 8-9 years ago...

The view in the Chaddy is crap (ie sit at the front or having pillars in the way) and is much better than the RRE. That alone puts the RRE way ahead of the Chaddy.

Reading this topic and thinking back has made me realise how ridiculous it was that the RRE was used for away fans only for so long in the 90s and early 00s. I actually really like the RRE, it could do with a bit of TLC but it would be one of my favourite stands in the league if it was tidied up a bit. As bad as BP overall, latics really have an asset in the RRE that really isn't used to its full potential.

What was worrying for me is Latics grafted hard to make opportunities yet all but one seemed to hit the target. The chances were there but the finishing was not.

Any coaches with any spare seats available? Currently planning on getting the train but its a bit of a mission that way.

To be honest halfway into the season, I really doubt this would be the first time it has happened. Especially once it quietens down in the news and people forget about it.

Just because you think it shouldn't does not mean it actually is like that. The Hillsborough campaigners and people that were affected will always have a voice in this. Theres no issue when stands are half-empty like is usually, but in the cases of matches where grounds are reaching capacity you do need some form of control there. Of course we're never going to have another Hillsborough with rid of the silly fences, but there will still be havoc in the stands if there is nothing to limit the crowds in there. There are many ways it can be easily done, but that doesn't mean if safe standing is to be introduced the government and football league shouldnt do it properly, investigate it and lay down the requirements for all clubs to meet should they want standing. Not all clubs are fully competent afer all.

That was the reasoning why I thought they had them too. The football league isn't just going to allow clubs to rip out all their seats in stands and replace them with long handrails on every 2/3 rows running stand. The Hillsborough brigade would go nuts and never allow it. It would have to be done in a proper and organised manner.

Who says that that wouldn't be a condition of safe standing making a permanent return?
