If we're to sign Leon Clarke I don't think he'll be here until right near the end of the transfer window, if Laws is wanting to give him a chance then I don't see him coming here straight away. We shouldn't be signing players for signing sake, they shouldn't be coming just because they're good enough to help us achieve promotion but so they can help us stay up in the Championship if we get there.

If we can't agree a new contract with Trotman before the end of January I would sell him to whoever is interested, we can't afford another Porter.

I wouldn't see it as a lack of ambition by the club at all so long as most of the money received from the transfer was used to improve the squad. As for rather seeing Eardley sold, Eardley looks far more comfortable at right-back than Hazell is. As good as Hazell is, he's a centre-back, Eardley is a much better right-back than Hazell and I think we'd lose less in selling Trotman than we would selling Eardley. That said I hope we don't have to sell either!

I think saturday will be a turning point for Davies, thinks it's come to a point where it can't be tolerated anymore. Shez needs to have one of his famous talks with and I think we'll see a hungrier player on saturday and he'll get some extra support I reckon as well. It's so frustrating and sad to see what I saw from him yesterday and I hope he can put that behind him, he certainly has the ability.

Don't be silly, he doesn't need to go at all. He just needs to buck his ideas up, get that chip off his shoulder play for the team and I'm sure the goals will come again, he's managed 10 so far and that was before this barren run!

He was trying too hard to score and not at all with anything else, had a face on him all game. Must have had a during the break because he was working harder for the team before going back to how he was. He needs to be more professional, might have been an error to bring Wolfy on, they ran all over him but even still the defence should have stood firm against 10 men.

Why don't we just play all five of them? Taylor, McDonald and Allott in midfield, Hughes and Davies upfront? Gets Lomax and Eardley going forward, both seem comfortable on the ball and it might do us good to try something different at home, something the away side might not have planned for?

Pogs will be back off to Australia in the summer, don't think there is any chance of him staying. I'd keep Crossley but I agree a new number 1 may need to be found. I'd sign up Stam and Trotman as soon as possible and give Liddell a contract for another year so long as he can get over his injury problems. Got to keep McDonald, need players like him in the squad. I'd also keep three of the four youngsters, Kelly doesn't seem to be making the grade and I can't see playing for Barrow doing him any good for us. Wolfy needs to go out on loan.

Why is there another burgundy choice? Apart from the last couple of seasons when thankfully it hasn't been present it was virtually part of every kit we have brought out. I still believe we will continue to use the Tangerine kit (I hope so anyways). Anyone remember the white away kit that was brought out? Did the players ever actually wear it? Don't really like any of them but if pushed I'd go the the light powder blue kit. Hope we carry on playing in Tangerine!!

It's a shame Kilkenny has left, would have done his career no harm I think if he had stayed here, think moving to Leeds will be more of a challenge for him, he's clearly more than good enough for this division but he could quickly see himself frozen out there if his performances aren't great. At least he hasn't gone to Doncaster!

I think we've done well to get Bertrand in, there's no point just bringing players in. I'm sure we're pretty close to our budget as well.

I don't disagree with that at all, he definately put his all in every game, didn't dislike him as a player but from what he was built up to be and what he turned out to be was a bit of a disappointment. I remember his goal against Leeds in a friendly and the goals he scored past Huddersfield but apart from his start he was a bit of a disappointment to me.

How about Carlo Corrazin? He was a Canadian international striker don't you know. Never seemed to quite be the striker I thought he would be and wasn't that Lee Hardy supposed to be David Eyres' natural replacement? I didn't think Crossley would be that brilliant but I didn't think he'd be as bad as he has been so far.
