I can understand not wanting the undermine the confidence of Hazell, Gregan and Brill..... but we have absolutely no cover...... just makes no sense we obviously need more fullbacks

The whole atmosphere around the club is really depressing at the moment, I can't help but feel depressed about it either and wonder whats going to happen from here, but got me thinking.... why are we letting a few defeats get us down? we have been through a hell of a lot worse.... not so long ago was standing outside non league grounds with buckets asking for money to save our club and the fans obliged willingly with a smile... you can go off and support city, but nothing will give you that feeling of supporting Latics being at goodison park when mcdonald puts us 1-0 up... and actually holding on to it! beating wigan 1-0 on a rainy night at the jjb ending there 20-odd unbeaten run when we were rock bottom and then turning our season around beating city in the fa cup... nuff said beating west ham at upton park after beating derby, with the amount of big names on their team sheet! that was one hell of a season, went to so many away games Those are the memories at the forefront of my mind, im sure everyone has theirs. So much optimism at the start of the season and now wheres it gone? Keep the faith in DP and hopefully we can have some good memories this season, if not next. Priceless memories that no city or manure supporter will ever experience. Get behind the team and drown out the boo boys, show these kids how to SUPPORT a team, they obviously been learning from their mates who are city/manure. We need to get behind the team because now is a critical point for our club, are we going to let turn to sh*t? flying high up in the sky, we'll keep the blue flag flying high (what happened to that anyway?)

What do you expect with the atmosphere at BP? The ground half destroyed and chav low life 'fans' ready to jump on players backs after a mistake or for no reason. Have preferred going to away games for the past few years by a long way (the further away the better) because the fans that go there are real fans and get behind the team.... the w@nkers dont bother travelling.

Have to agree that we are missing players and when we get our squad back to full or near strength we will be more of a threat. But last night was like watching a team 11 strangers. Hartlepool played well as a team and got men behind the ball when they needed to and as usual, as was the problem under sheridan, our solution to this was to run into the wall of players and lose the ball. We looked really poor in the air for the first time this season as well and really struggled to keep possession. We are going to be able to compete in this league because of our work ethic DP? didn't see any evidence of that last night.... only 5 minutes in the second half when blackman came on, but then when we had to defend it all went wrong then didn't it. No wonder the attack can't be arsed when we EXPECT our defence to ship 3/4 goals a game. But we are unable to defend as a team, when defending it just looks like we go into a blind panic. But the fact that DP has had all pre season to see that our 2 CBs and GK arn't up to the job and not to bring in any cover whatsoever is really worrying. Not bringing in another keeper AT ALL for competition is more than worrying.... its amateur.... its stupidity. What the hell is he doing pi**ing about bringing in fullbacks ? WE DONT NEED MORE F**KING FULLBACKS so what does he do on transfer deadline day? FOR F**KS SAKE ! We have enough cover at fullback as it is and it isn't an area where we have looked weak AT ALL. Jacobson, Lomax, Holdsworth, Purdie, :censored: and now Sheehan... I know he will class some of them as utility players but we dont need any more utility players, we need a defence and a keeper. On positive note parker actually looked like he had responded to the criticism hes been getting and put a bit of effort in last night, not that it mattered much with the s**t we played last night. DP needs to bring some players in on emergency loan or play the kids. No way in hell can they be as bad as we saw last night and will at least play with a bit of heart. Our home form has been dire since they knocked down the lookers and moved home fans into the RRE. TTA may have saved the club years ago.... I won't say the direction i think they are taking it in now....

on a positive note, parker actually put a bit of effort in today.... not that it mattered it was like watching 11 players who had never met before.... we had moments where we created chances, but can you honestly see us putting any of them away at the moment? can only see blackman scoring, he should have started without a doubt.... abbotts confidence looks shot why the hell are we left with a goalkeeper and 2 centre backs that are so poor and no other choices AT ALL? its beyond belief.... give the younsters a chance... cant do anymore harm than was done tonight

The players obviously aint getting paid to play football they may aswell get paid to be given abuse. I would never boo an oldham player but the lack of anyone playing having any fight or actually giving a :censored: is a f**king disgrace. How the f**k do you get through to these players that we pay there wages and we arnt going to sit there and watch them not give a :censored:. 5 minutes of effort in the second half.... wish i could get paid £1k+ for 5 minutes effort.....

Beggars belief that people make assumptions like that. I personally never use latics <whatever name they have for it now> because the commentary is usually so poor to listen to and i really aint a fan of radio commentary as it is. He didnt stand out at Halifax or Bury. At Stockport, Millwall and Swindon he didnt look like he could be bothered off the ball and did nothing while on it. If we had any wingers he wouldnt be in the team because its Abbott and Blackman first choice without a doubt up front. I'd rather give Whittaker a start on the wing, we looked a lot better the moment he came on vs Swindon.

Cant see how we cant develop around BP as was previously planned to fund one new stand and whatever facilities with an eye to improving facilities around the ground overall. This "failsworth or bust" just seems too much like scaremongering to me so questions arn't asked.

No matter what the costs are the club has stood still while the TTA have been here. What happened to the ambition to get into the championship, make the club something the town could be proud of again.... yet to be seen. Instead they knock down a stand turning our ground into a **** hole, realise it isnt going to work and then say we have to move to failsworth or bust. They really did drop a bollock with that one, although the council didn't exactly help. Yes, god knows where we would be without them, thats a hypothetical question. But we have to question what they are doing and why they are doing it and whether its the best for the club. It can't simply be ignored because they were saviours years ago. I think the team is moving forward albeit slowly, we need to give DP time and he will get the job done, hopefully he will be getting all the backing he needs. But as for the club that remains to be seen, they have been here 5 years and all they have done is steadied the ship. If redeveloping boundary park was the plan before then why cant it still be an option now? If the land is still worth so much that it can fund a development of a new stadium and facilities then why cant we scale down or stagger our plans a bit? Building a decent main stand where the lookers used to be would give us a good ground IMO.... RRE and the chaddy are fine for now but could be upgraded with better facilities. All the TTA concentrated is the idea that we need a new ground with x y and z facilitys to be sustainable. Everything else seems to be ignored.... does make you think, is this anything more than a property development project for them?

Leech off the popularity of another club like FC United of Manchester How about AC Barcelona ? FC Real Milan? maybe Referee Superstars ?! might get more decisions going our way for a change!

The fact they are in the same division and are a rival and ripped villa off to the tune of £8m for Delph and are not exactly skint without even considering that. Think we should hold out for £1.5m+ sell on clauses...... no end of contract excuse this time for the TTA

If we sell Taylor we have 1 remaining winger who is injured.... going to lose the faith in the club unless something is done about it.

I have been defending Brill, thought he made some good saves at Millwall and didnt really have a great deal to do before that. But his performance on saturday was very poor, flapping at crosses and throw ins.... hope he can sort himself out. Seen Parker in 3 games so far this season and hate to say it but the Huddersfield fans are right. He just doesn't look interested at all, haven't seen any of his supposed pace, he has done absolutely nothing to warrant another start and i hope DP drops him until he starts putting in some effort, it must be insulting to Abbott and other players who are putting a shift in only to watch Parker stroll around the pitch doing bugger all.

There is criticism and then there is criticism. Beckfordsrightfoot obviously posting **** because he is an idiot or just likes to wind people up. Criticism of how poor we were in the second half, defensive mistakes you wouldn't see a pub team make and the performances of Parker and Brill on Saturday are all warranted imo.
