was a poor ref yesterday, but when do we not get poor refs? we have had much much worse, he was average in comparison to some of the **** we get. its pretty much expected not to get a decision that lineo needed shooting, was as if he had a bet with a mate for a laugh that he was going to give the opposite for every decision. Three blatant offsides in the first half not given and when Reuben kicked it out for a corner and he gave a goal kick.... just comical, then yet more dodgy decisions in the second half....... where do they find these idiots?

Just isn't worth it for the decline in quality, so many pros and cons to mention, more cons id say.... id just be repeating myself some very good points already mentioned so far in this thread. It just wouldnt be right with the gulf in quality. To have teams like Leicester, Leeds, Southampton, Wigan, Charlton.... all having been in this division with big stadiums and decent followings (well apart from wigan) being in the same divison as Grimsby, Hereford, Accrington, Barnet etc..... just doesn't make sense. Nothing will happen until it starts affecting the greed league. Nobody cares about lower league football but the real fans and those are few and far between and becoming fewer everyday. The day of the underdog in football is all but over because it has become all about the money. Burnley are bucking that trend at the moment and it will be interesting what happens to their club/players if they continue to do well this season.

tear up keigan parkers contract, he isnt fit to wear the shirt. he cant be arsed and when he does get the ball does absolutely nothing with it. out of position or not there is no excuse for a professional football to be that poor and he was as poor at millwall in position have no confidence in our defence or keeper atm but again we failed to kill off the game when 1-0 up so we have problems all over the pitch not just the defence seems we only have 2 wingers in the squad, taylor and smalley... taylor is obviously carrying a knock and smalley is injured so we may have none..... why has this been allowed to happen, as well as having no competition at CB

Should never have sold him in hindsight, young centre backs of that quality don't grow on trees and thought he was worth a lot more, he was quality all round and even good going forward. Would have been in his best interests to remain at the club and play regular football. Good luck to him.

If the ref was going to award the penalty then he had to send him off, he bottled it regardless if it was a penalty or not. Hard to tell which he got first in the reply, the ball or the player, for me he didn't get enough of the ball to take it away from AH without taking him out. Referee obviously affected by the crowd and being harassed by Millwall players like he was for every single decision.

Had enough of our fans jumping on players backs straight away, he didn't even go to the game but feels compelled to create a thread about brill making a hash preempting the response, not ask about his performance. like has been said previously in this thread, now that eardleys gone the boo boys need someone to target. Byfield and Brill seem to be the main targets when they havn't had much time to prove themselves. Byfield has only had one start and Brill hasn't been too busy in net, but when called upon at Millwall he made some good saves that kept us in the game when Millwall could have killed the game off, was harsh to finish the game 2 down but i guess thats the price we paid for going all out to get that goal. Maybe petty name calling was out of order but i've seriously had enough of people jumping on players backs, chances are the players read this board or hear what goes around and to have the first thing you read/hear after you have had a good game is about you making a hash is hardly going to be confidence inspiring, similar to but not in the same league as eardley hearing DIE EARDLEY on his first touch of the ball..... i bet he couldnt wait to get away from this club. Sitting in the Chaddy the atmosphere is none existant. Demolishing the Lookers and moving fans over to the RRE has killed the place by splitting the fans. I really think we dropped a bollock knocking down the lookers stand when plans for the new ground weren't 100% no matter how badly the lookers was decaying. Why couldn't the paddock seats be left there? Doesn't make any sense to me. Sometimes you have to think who is actually making these decisions?

Give him a couple of weeks to get settled before you start slating him. I know I wouldn't want the job, would make watching oldham less enjoyable having so much to do on match day when you just want to go down the pub. Good report. I can't believe all the moaning i'm seeing on here already. We kept a clean sheet. I don't know where to start but the team just looks so much better than last season all round. Towards the end of the game last season we would have expected to concede a poor goal, but with DP in charge have a lot more confidence in the squad, no poor mistakes from players switching off. One of the major things ive noticed is how much better we are in the air, before DP we would rarely win anything in the air and when we did it wasn't controlled at all, just randomly jumping at the ball. Now we are getting control of the ball and keeping possession more and are looking good on the ball. One thing i will say is that we need to make better use of the space, noticed throughout the game acres of space in the middle with no one making runs. We often got crowded on the ball up front and seemed to think the solution was to run through them rather than look up and pick out a man in space. We will improve over time as the players gel and DP gets through to them, some players have only been here a few days. I'm pretty sure people have just missed moaning about football over the summer....
