  1. Wonder which League One club he supports and if that will explain why he has an axe to grind. You would think he would want to do lower league football a favour, not stick the boot in like the rest of the premiership chumps.
  2. A load of bollocks. So all the people going to Eastlands deserve that football team do they? Do they :censored:, band wagon jumpers getting on board at the first sign of any glory. The amount of city shirts you see now is sickening, where have all these people been for all these years? I imagine the same would happen no matter what club really and its sad that people support a club simply because of success, because lets face it, if you want to watch some good football you aint going to want to watch a Man Utd, its going to be Arsenal or Barca or infact any "big" club in europe. Of course city has had its proper fans who stayed with the club through league one etc, they deserve it, like any proper fan would.
  3. Basically you are frustrated at the town and the council because they have done crap all to support their football team. Changing the name is not the answer. Its frustrating to see a town that doesn't give a :censored: with a council that is well.... :censored:, unbelievably :censored:. But it is cutting your nose off to spite your face. Something still needs to be done to get the people of Oldham behind their own football team, not subscribing to this watch TV and "support" X Y or Z rich club trend that is killing football. And something needs to be done about the :censored: council who put us in this situation of failsworth or bust and seems would be happy to see OAFC cease to exist. What can you do though? Nothing.
  4. Heard when he was sold it was 100k initially with a load of 100k clauses added on or something similar.
  5. Are you surprised? Took him long enough to realise we needed a keeper. Oh and we still need cover for CB, that still hasn't sunk in.
  6. If Brandy didn't get into the box then he wouldnt have gone down. Both players challenging for a ball bouncing in the wind, Gregan miscontrols and goes for another touch while Brandy actually jumps both footed in the air to make contact with the ball. The contact was so minimal he made the most of it and went down like he got shot. Just what you should expect from spoilt little sh*ts from United. Obviously been taking lessons from the fairy before he went to spain. Reuben was there to cover if Gregan still didn't get there, so any fan calling for it to be a red is having a laugh as he isnt the last man. Didn't look like the referee was going to give anything either until the lineo started flapping his arms. He got a penalty for Gills in the cup also, wonder if that was as soft.
  7. Not really, it shows dirt on the floor nobody can be arsed to clean and that some idiot has destroyed the lookers stand for no reason. Of course the grounds age has been a problem recently, but no more so than most clubs. The facilities are as bad as they always have been so why do people suddenly mention them as a problem? We all know a new ground would be ideal but we don't live in an ideal world do we. The TTA created the massive problem by knocking down a stand due to piss poor planning.
  8. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/i...als/8353733.stm says hit by a train, no mention of suicide
  9. Isn't exactly hard to keep a database of previous customers and mass market. But the club just don't bother, or care. Why do the fans always have to be asking these questions? Someone at the club should be asking these questions and providing the answers. You wonder why people question whether the staff at the club are up to the job when simple things like this go ignored.
  10. I'd rather go barefoot for the rest of my life.
  11. He may come good in the future but at the moment i dont think he should be starting and he is only starting due to the amount of injuries.
  12. Isn't up to the job. He shouldn't get a look in when Taylor & Smalley are fit. I'd give Lee a run of games so he can prove what he can do. You can see he has quality there, should come good with experience. Opposite for Colbeck.
  13. Was basically a free header, not one persons fault but defence as a whole.
  14. People seemed to panic when we built up from the back today as if they had never seen it done in their lives before, get a grip. We needed to do it as we werent winning much in the air from goal kicks and was basically giving them the ball back. We needed to invite them onto our back line a little to create a bit of space as they were sat back for most of the game and we were failing to break them down. Brill made 1 mistake all game, maybe he could have done something about the third goal but was hardly his fault. I don't see what Hazell did wrong. Southampton werent that impressive and basically defended most of the game. The difference was taking chances, consistency and composure on the ball. I thought we looked good until the 2nd goal went in, were poor for the rest of the first half then played better 2nd half. We really need to take our chances and cut out these silly mistakes because thats what made the difference today. Thats the difference in quality, no mistakes from Southampton, who are a championship side with a budget we can only dream of. We didn't play badly today, we just played a very good side in form. Get a grip, stop moaning and get behind the team.
  15. Didn't think it deserved the first yellow of the game, wasnt exactly the worst challenge of the game. 23 should of been booked without a doubt
  16. Sad to see the crowd getting on his back again after 1 mistake. Granted it was a bad one but for the last 5 games he hasnt conceded except scoring against himself. Not that it was a free kick in the first place, that referee was a clown, lost his yellow card on the pitch and took him 20 minutes to realise. Lomax getting booked for 23 squaring up to him? What a joke.
  17. He may have said that but hes just saying it to try make sure his team arnt complacent, don't think for a second he believes it. "They restricted Charlton last week and I'm not sure if they'll do that against us" "Oldham are unbeaten and look a strong team who are organised" That to me says he thinks we are going to get men behind the ball and defend. Those are his only comments about us so its good to see he hasn't done his homework.
  18. you have said your opinion, more than once, give it up. If he goes this year will be £5-10 Million, can see villa going for him but they dont tend to pay stupid pri..... wait a minute... delph.... lets hope they have another brain haemorrhage like that again!
  19. Knock down the Chaddy End to symbolise the failure keeping with the theme
  20. Piss poor excuses tbh. If you think that then you ain't a latics fan. £20 is really only going to be a lot if you have lost your job, if you really are struggling that much then ok. But the excuses here hold about as much weight as Munich fans saying they cant get tickets blah blah. If you dont have the passion to support your team then just admit that you cant be arsed putting in the effort anymore.
  21. Was mentioned on latics site the other day in the physio room article "We're also looking at a new pair of insoles to help the mechanics of his feet when in his boots and trainers." http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/NewsU...1817815,00.html more of stuff like that, being of interest and a good read on the site please!
  22. Cant be arsed to read this rubbish Since when is 3 points not good enough?
  23. Scunny away last year was a joke, there were some shocking challenges, then the referee decides to clamp down on OUR players throwing about yellows for a joke. Mr. Moss..... that guy should be put in a home, i doubt he knows where he is most days nevermind what football is.... god thinking of that game now.... what a that guy was..... ! Ince will have told his bunch of to do all the digs in the back, shirt pulling, pushes, go for taylors legs etc etc because he knows the quality of referees in this division and he knows it will go unnoticed. The amount of yellows they got was stupid. The referee could have got a grip on the game early on by booking there players for each rash challenge (lets face it there were a lot). But he didn't.... failed to get a grip on the game early on and then never did. Another pair of lineo's that dont know what a line is again this week
  24. I didn't particularly like the things he said while he was manager..... a plank of wood has more sense.
