I cant believe he didnt even mention the lack of a reserve team! That IMO was the biggest mistake we made last season.

I had a feeling Greegs would get released. It was mentioned that he should be kept, but on reduced terms and personally i dont think Greegs would ever accept that. While i think he is a good player, im quite pleased that he's going. I just think the whole dressing room could do without the likes of him, Hughes etc. I think its probably quite likely that Foster will be coming in from Darlo then and probs as skipper. Next season is a fresh start, and obviously DP has wanted to rid the club of disruption. I can see Greegs ending up somewhere else in this League. Wouldnt suprise me in the slightest to see him end up at Bindipper Park!

Maybe in Shez's defence thats why he brought in some loan strikers (all be it crap ones) to make sure LA wasnt overused.

Easy alternative. Just sack him now to save the club any further embarrasement.

With Shez apparently in the running for the Barnsley. Stockport and Chesterfield jobs, i can see a few nervous fans about wondering whether Calamity Budtz will be their number one next season.

Wasn't Wolfy, Allessandra and Chris Hall prolific at youth/reserve level as well. As we all know the step up is a big one for a lot of players. Maybe worth a punt but unlikely we would as im sure DP is looking for a bit of experience in that department as we are woefully short of it!

Well Stitch and Davey had pretty meagre managerial records before they hired them. Davey none at all i dont think. I doubt they would go for Shez after the struggle they've had this season as they probably want a tried and tested manager (i reckon Boothroyd will go there tbh). Shez's next job will be the making of him imo. If he does well then he will progress to a higher level. If he doesnt then i can see him going back to coaching. Despite what we all thought of the last few months of Shez's tenure, he seems to be highly rated. But like was mentioned before would he want any of them. If i had a boss and had staff who couldnt be arsed which resulted in me getting sacked, i certainly wouldnt want them anywhere near me again.

It depends if he can find any drinking buddies at his new club In all seriousness though if he were to go to Baaaarnsley, i doubt many of our players would be suitable for the step up to Championship. Taylor yes and Eards yes as well, but cant see either going to Barnsley somehow. If he went to Stockport then i also doubt it as they wont have a pot to piss in next season.

I have to say im surprised that Wolfy has lasted so long at the club, taking into account his injury proneness and lack of matches. Thats Rugby Ron, Shez and JR who saw something in him that they liked so maybe if he could get himself fit and playing regulary he could show us what he's missing. As DP likes a big man and a small man partnership up front apparently, then maybe he will be looking closely at Wolfy. Or maybe im completely wrong and he will be released.

Well how come the Tranny's pitch is in pretty good condition considering all they play on it is rugby?

Yeah Stockport will struggle to attract a 'experienced' manager on the budget they will probably have. If Shez did happen to go there, what reception do you think he would get back at BP. I really hope he gets a good one, as no matter how it all finished, the guy is still a legend at the club. I would hate for some people to forget all the good times Shez gave us both as a player and a manager.

Regarding the Shez thing towards the end. I would hate him to go to Stockport as i dont want him to manage another club against us anytime soon. Barnsley i would say are a step to high for him at the moment, but Chesterfield might be a good place for him to start off again. Shame Rico didnt make it, but think Shez could do a good job there.

Being a errrr......'soft' southerner the first question i get asked is, 'why Oldham?' by people. Well during my younger years i had Everton and Liverpool kits but for some reason I never really got a good feeling about it. My old man is a QPR fan and tried to get me into supporting them, but that was never going to happen. And then i saw Latics on tv demolish Scarborough and thought.....wow this is the team for me and its been that way ever since. There have been so many stages where i have said i have given up caring after we lose again with another spineless performance, but come the next game the optimism is renewed. Latics will always be the only team for me. My nephews on the other hand are beyond help. My sisters husband is a true remote control red, and to my disgust a couple of years back one of my nephews turned up wearing a Manure shirt with Ronaldo 7 on the back. I felt sick. Any team on the planet i could have accepted just not them. Needless to say, when i do hopefully have kids there is no way in the world they will be supporting Man Utd. I will try to get them into Latics, but living down south it wont be easy. If however he turns out to be a rugby fan rather football, then the writing will be on the wall for a happy father son relationship

They could maybe do what they do in tennis and i think i remember seeing it during the Windies v England test. A team have a certain amount of challenges they can make in a game. For instance you can have two per match or something. Teams would only use them for the big decisions so the game would still flow exactly the same, and the appealed decisons are referred to a 4th official. That way games are decided on the day. To be honest i think it would take away the fun of the game. Half to enjoyment of watching football is discussing over a pint or two whether or not it was onside/offiside/a penalty etc.

I havent read all the threads but i think it depends on what happens, if anything to Micah Richards in the summer. If he gets sold and we get a decent cut, then i cant see TTA selling for any less £1m. Mainly because they probably wouldnt need to, but also would be in a better positon to hold out for a better offer. Saying that most clubs will come in with a low bid just to test the water. If he does go for less than £1m then i would expect there to be considerable add ons over time.

We have had so many suspect decisons given against us in the past that i couldnt possibly count them. The Donny home game last season (i think) when the ref gave the softest penalty against Chris Taylor. But like all clubs like us we just get on with it and hope that next time it will go our way. I think people in general would have a lot more sympathy for Manure if they didnt complain about every decision that goes against them. It was nice to see them get screwed over for once, even though i do actually believe it was a foul.

Yes and not just cos i cant stand United but from what i remember of the challenge, it was from behind therefore its a foul. It doesnt matter if he got the ball, a tackle from behind is a free kick no matter where on the pitch it occurs.

I think most of them spend their time deciding how best to send their giro's on here instead. Certainly seems a lot more infested than rivals Trannys go POP

It was saying on Gillette Soccer Saturday that the Tranny fans were all celebrating with about 10 mins left and that it may be premature. Edds gets sent off, free kick comes in, Cliff Byrne scores. Just to see Rugby Ron's face would have been a picture. And Latics win for Joe. Nice to finish on a high

I think he started at Northampton IIRC and then played for Rubbish & Dustbin's and then Kettering before starting his love affair with Lincoln. Yeah maybe Burton but like you i think he is destined for the conference.
