I said must win if this team are going to become anything other than a bottom half, struggling side this season. If we can't beat two bottom four sides, that tells you our level.

It's very contradictory. Tell the fans to stop being negative and to rid us of that environment, but then talk about how we shouldn't expect to be anywhere near the top. He's more media savvy than I thought, justifying our current position by basically saying this is where we always finish and we have no money, a really positive attitude from the manager. Whether you think what he's saying is right or wrong, I wish he'd just shut up and focus on winning games, instead of using the same, tired old excuses.

This guy is living in a dream world, it's almost as if he's just walked in to football. Before Saturday we'd won two games this season, hadn't scored for 5 and a half hours and hadn't had a shot in the first hour, what does he expect? One win and he's on his high horse thinking he can take digs at the fans, he's done absolutely nothing so far to earn our respect as a manager, this just serves to piss people off more. Get on with your job and win more games and the atmosphere will improve as a result, instead of deflecting it on to us as usual.

Barnsley, with the form they are in and Crewe away are must win if this team are to turn things around and pull away from the bottom four. The Southend game is another big chance to get a home win, the next two weeks are very important.

I know Lafferty was good, but what was wrong with giving Truelove a chance when Mills got injured? These are the situations where we are showing absolutely no confidence whatsoever in our young players, it's almost pointless giving them contracts.

Agree Harry, I'm willing to bet a lot of young players have had unsuccessful loan spells and then gone on to have very successful careers at a higher level. I feel like the only way we can truly test our young players is by giving them proper game time in the first team, not out on loan at Ramsbottom and not just for 10 minutes off the bench. From memory, I can't remember whether Taylor, Eardley, Tarky, Winch have had loan spells and how they did if so? Be interesting to hear BP1960's thoughts on this.
